Fourteen: The Petersons

Alpha Markus's Pov:

"WELL WHERE IS THAT SLUT THEN!!" My warrior flinched as I yelled at him, good. She was on a clear path then just all of the sudden packs haven't seen her. "W-We asked the other packs and they said no rouges of that description went through or was spotted." I slammed my fists down and he flinched again. "CALL THE BLACK SOUL PACK AND ASK THEM FOR A DESCRIPTION OF WHATEVER B*TCH THEY CLAIMED TO SEE PASS THROUGH!! FOR ALL WE KNOW IT COULD OF BEEN SOME OTHER WORTHLESS ROUGE THAT THEY SAW!!!" "Yes Alpha." My warrior ran with his tail in between his legs. I'll have to make sure to teach him a lesson later.

There was a knock on my door. "What?!?"  I screamed and they opened up. I saw it was my Delta. "You have visitors." "Well tell them to go away!" "It's important... Your parents are here." I groaned inside. The pack has been a mess since the whore escaped. "Tell them to come in." "Markus, you have some explaining to do." My mom came in, her hands slammed down on my desk. "Yes I know, the pack is a mess. A rouge caused a reck and we were trying to catch them. They killed some people who helped keep the house in order." "Oh really, because the news we want explaining is why Scarlet Norma was treated as a prisoner and tortured?"

I was shocked to say the least that they even remembered the slut's name. I had done a good job of hiding her presence from any outsiders, including my parents. "She was moved to Paris to keep her safe after the rouge attack. Figured it was the best for her." "Really? Because a quick call to Paris shows that Scarlet has never set foot in Paris before. And more calls shows that she had been abused here. You better explain yourself!" My mom was anger, well two can play that game. "That whore killed the Beta of the pack! She caused depression to spread throughout! Of course she deserved this punishment! She should never be allowed to harm packs ever again! And I made sure of it." I let out a smirk to my mom. She had lost her words. Good. Unfortunately I forgot about the second parent.

"THAT'S IT!! YOU MARKUS PETERSON ARE OFFICIALLY BEING TAKEN DOWN FROM THE POSITION OF ALPHA OF THE BLOODY HEART PACK AND SHALL BE PUT ON TRAIL TOMORROW!!!" My dad screamed at me, his Alpha voice clear as day. Against my will I submitted and was pulled out from my office from him. That's it. I will kill her as soon as I escape. Just like I should of done so long ago.

Zachary's Pov:

I was making out with Haley in my office. I had already marked her and completed the mating process with her. She would be named Luna in three days. I was going to make a big deal about this, and have a huge speech about how she is the true luna of the pack. However, I was interrupted by a knock on the door. She stopped and turned to look. "Come in." She slid off my lap and sat down next to me, straightening herself up. In walked my Beta and another person. "Alpha Markus sent his Beta to help determine the terms of the pact." My Beta explained. "Of course, please have a seat." I motioned for him to sit down and he did. "Now what is your name?" "I'm surprise you don't remember me." He said. I had no idea what he was talking about. "What do you mean?" "I called you when you found my sister."

I started to remember. He called asking me to keep Scarlet safe. "Luke Norma." Haley squirmed in her seat. It was no secret that she knew Scarlet was the luna before, but she accepted me and the title. "Your sister is no longer welcomed here. She rejected the pack and left as a rouge." I was surprised when Haley spoke up. Luke looked at Haley, like he was examining her. "So why did Alpha Markus get told of this?" "Because she harmed my pack and even destroyed and stole some of the pack's belongings." My Beta made sure to report the broken and stolen items to me. It had Scarlet written all over it.

"Okay then. I guess it's on to the pact then." Luke was calm and this shocked me. "Aren't you mad?" "I lived with her for all my life, I know a lot of things." I nodded and talked to him about the pact. He was able to suggest better options and I couldn't help but think if he ever did care about his sister. Probably not, or maybe he wanted to see if she would change. Doesn't matter now since she's gone.

Luke's Pov:

'Bullsh*t.'  I thought when he said that Scarlet harmed the pack and my wolf agreed. I kept a neutral face and decided just to do my job. She'll be away from him and Markus soon enough. Maybe I can find her and run off to Paris to live with our Aunt Marge and Uncle Erick like we should of done so long ago. I glanced over to his new 'mate'. She looked strong enough and of course she had the body he wanted. I'll ask about the so called damages later to see what it was. For now I worked out some agreements with him. Only reason I'm doing this is for Scarlet. If I know the progress of the two packs who want her killed then I can protect her.

When we were almost finished my phone rang. "My apologies Alpha Zachary, but may I take this?" "Of course." I answered the phone. "What is it?" "Luke, it's about Alpha Markus." It was the Delta, Bruce. "What about him?" "Well the things is, he's no longer Alpha." "What?" I was shocked. What happened while I was traveling. "His parents came in and said they found out about abusing Scarlet. They took away the title and he was put on trial today. He's dead now." "Call off the search teams." I said and Bruce was shocked. "What?" "I said call off the search teams. Since he's gone there's no need to find her again. If she comes back then we'll figure it out then." "Yes sir, also your ceremony to become Alpha is as soon as you get back. You'll need to pick a Beta and new Delta." "You can be Delta still. I have someone in mind for Beta if that's okay with you." "Of course, I enjoy my role as it is." I didn't say good bye but I hanged up.

"I know it's none of my business but what was that about?" Zachary looked concerned. "It was about Alpha Markus. He died earlier today." "Was it by a rouge attack?" Zachary looked mad. "No, he was put on trial for the abuse of Scarlet. His punishment was death." "But didn't she kill her parents or something like that?" "She was three and a rouge killed my parents." I was going to attack him if he continued to talk like this. "What's important now is the present. She rejected the pack and left. She did take some food but I don't believe she destroyed anything. She left on her own free will and was warned about coming back. I will be the new luna of the pack." I looked over to the girl.

"What's your name?" "Haley Goodmen." "Well Haley, you can keep the peace here. You'll make a great luna." She smiled gracefully and I wondered who her true mate was. "Now let's finish this if you want to continue Alpha Zachary. Then I need to be heading back for my ceremony. If I hurry back I can be Alpha in five days." "Of, of course." Zachary and I finished discussing the terms and I was ready to go.

I was walking downstairs when I smelled roses and sea salt. I looked to see a beautiful woman staring at me. "Mate." I ran down and hugged her. She smelled my scent in as she hugged me back. "What's your name beautiful?" "Miranda Robinson. And yours?" "Luke Norma." Her smile was gone. "Are you related to Scarlet?" She questioned and I started to panic. "I don't know what your Alpha said to you but I know Scarlet. She never would of mean to hurt anyone in this pack." "I know that, I wanted to make sure you never hurt her before." I looked down in shame. "I had to sometimes, I was planning to help her escape three days before she left. I thought Zachary would protect her but I guess not." "I forgive you. I'll tell you everything I know. What pack are you from? I can get my stuff ready."

"The Bloody Heart Pack, and be ready. As soon as I get back I will be Alpha and you will become my Luna." She grabbed my hand and led me to her room to help her pack. Maybe I can let my pack have a better start?
