Seven: The Ceremony

Scarlet's Pov:

Putting everything away only took two hours, fifty-seven minutes, and twenty something seconds. Yes I did time it. It felt like seven hours but I guess it was just me. But we were finally done. "I think I'm going to take a nap and sleep forever." I said and Zachary laughed. I stood up from the closet and plopped myself on the bed so I was laying on my stomach.

"Do you want pizza for dinner?" Zachary asked. "I'm not hun-" I started to say before my stomach rumbles. "Pizza it is." Zachary said while picking up his phone. "You're not allergic to anything right?" Zachary asks and I nodded. "Okay, what pizza topping do you like best?" He asked. "Any is fine." I said. "Scarlet, please tell me." Zachary said.

"Okay well I like Hawaiian." I said. "Perfect. I'll be back in just on second." Zachary said before he left the room. I was then left in the room with my thoughts. 'I told you he was nice.' Crystal said. 'We thought our siblings were nice until they weren't. People can change.' I said. 'Luke wasn't like them. He was secretly helping us all along.' Crystal said and I agreed.

'What about Cindy?' I asked. 'I don't have anything good to say about her so let's just drop this.' Crystal said. 'Do you think it's all girls?' I asked. 'All girls for what?' Crystal asked. 'That all girls are going to be mean to me.' I said. Back at the old pack house, it was the girls who mainly bullied and beat me.

'That was because they wanted to impress Mr. Big Shot. I think the girls in this pack will treat us fine.' Crystal said. 'I hope you're right.' I said. 'Since when have I not been right?' Crystal asked. 'First time running away.' I said then Crystal kept her mouth shut. There was silence for a while then she said, 'That was a mistake, but not because we ran away. The mistake was not waiting long enough. We are here now with our mate who cares for us. We will be just fine.' Crystal said before disappearing into the back of my head.

A few moments later Zachary walks in. "The pizza will be here in fifteen minutes, wanna watch another movie?" Zachary asked. "How about Despicable Me?" I asked. "Sounds good to me." Zachary said. He put it in and we started to watch the movie. Halfway through the movie, he said, "I want you to meet the pack soon." I gulped. "When?" I asked. "We can do the ceremony for you to be officially in the pack and introduce you in the same day so you can get everything over with if you want and I think in about three days." He said and I nodded.

Markus's Pov:

"Where is that stupid bitch?!" I yelled to one of my trackers. "I-I don't know. It's like she disappeared without a trace." He said nervously. "Leave." I said annoyed. It's been more than two weeks since that slut has ran away. The omegas can hardly handle the work that she did. Once I get her back her, she'll wish that she didn't even think about running away.

Then a thought came to mind. I used the income to call to the trackers headquarters. "Yes alpha." My lead tracker said. "Check the supplies for the scent remover. I think I know how she escaped." I said. "You think she used the spray?" He asked. "No, I think she flew on a unicorn. Of course I think she used the spray!" I screamed.

"Well what would you like us to do alpha?" He asked. "Just call the packs that are further away from us first. Then work your way down." I said. "Should I bother with the neighboring packs?" He asked. "No, she should be past them already and she had the spray on her so they wouldn't have smelled her." I said. "Yes alpha." He said and I hanged up. I will get that bitch back and I will teach her a lesson she'll never forget.

Scarlet's Pov:

"I'm nervous." I told Zachary. "Don't worry you'll do fine." He said encouragingly. I was about to go out to out for my ceremony. I never thought I would be in this position today. I had a dark blue dress on with a golden belt. I had pearl earring and a matching bracelet on. My shoes were black flats and I had a tiny bit of makeup on my face.

"Just trust me, okay?" Zachary said holding out his hand. "Okay." I said taking it. I could feel the sparks from the mate bond and that comforted me a bit. Then he walked me down to where the pack was. "Everyone, this is my mate and your luna Scarlet Norma. Scarlet, do you accept the responsibilities that comes with you being luna?" Zachary asked. "I do." I said. "Will you lead with care, and do what's right for your pack members?" "I do." "Will you protect these people and treat all of them right?" "I do." I said.

Then each pack member over the age of twelve went up and put a drop of their blood in a giant bowl. Then Zachary did it and had me do it. I cut myself on my wrist and dropped the blood in. Then I allowed myself to heal. Two pack members poured the blood into a fire. "Now Scarlet Norma, you are officially Luna of the Black Soul Pack." Zachary said.

I could feel my ties with the pack connecting. Once it was done, Zachary turned to the audience. "I hope you all treat your new Luna with respect. That is all and enjoy the party." Zachary said. We walked off stage and I started to walk off. "Where are you going?" Zachary asked. "To our room." I said. "Oh no. You're coming with me to the party." Zachary said as he dragged me to where the party was.

"I'll be right back." He said and he left me. 'Now is our time to sneak out.' I told Crystal. 'Oh no. You know that I like parties.' Crystal said. 'Fine. I'll give you two hours.' I said. I stood by the wall of the house and watched as the children ran around with a soccer ball. Then it came at me. With cat like reflexes I grabbed the ball. Then two kids came running up to me.

"I'm so sorry luna. I'm still trying to work on my aim." The girl said. "It's okay." I said handing her the ball. They said 'thank you luna' and went off. Then a girl came up to me. "I'm sorry if my sister hit you." She said. "It's okay." I said. "I'm Miranda. Zachary's cousin." The girl said holding out her hand. "Scarlet." I said shaking her hand.

"He told me about you. I got excited because he had been wanting a mate since we were kids and I couldn't wait to meet you." Miranda said. "Well here I am." I said. Then a woman called for Miranda. "I have to go." She said. "But first, if you ever need a friend, give me a call." She said handing me her phone number. "I will. Thank you." I said and she ran off.

A few minutes later Zachary came back with punch. "Thank you." I said taking a glass. "You're welcome." He said. "No come on, I'll introduce you to the pack members individually." Zachary said and he led me off.
