Yagiz continued his meal and sipped on some wine while scrolling through Facebook. He stopped on a photo that one of his friends back in America was tagged in. His friend was at an engagement party of a girl Yagiz once knew very well, Farah. Farah was the love of his life. They had dated for nearly four years during university and Yagiz was certain they would get married. Before he left America to return to Turkey Yagiz had asked her to wait for him and continue long distance. But Farah didn't feel the same way. She said she couldn't wait, she couldn't deal with the distance and decided to end their four year relationship just like that. That was over four years ago and Yagiz still felt heartbroken over the split.

Yagiz zoomed in on the picture. She seemed so happy in the photograph. Her face was beaming from her radiant smile stretched ear to ear. She was tightly embracing whom he could only assume was her fiance, looking at him with that absolute look of love she use to give him.  Yagiz clicked on the man tagged in the photo, Paul Boudreaux. He was a handsome man but not anymore handsome than himself. From what he could gather from his profile he was a banker, no better job than his manager position right now in his father's company. So why? Why was she willing to marry this man but not wait for him? Why did she throw four wonderful years down the drain?

He was overcome with anguish. Yagiz ushered for the bill and headed to the hotel bar. He ordered drink after drink to drown his sorrow. No matter how much he drank the image of Farah and her new beau wouldn't wash away from his mind. Feeling too drunk to drive back to his apartment he decided to head up to the hotel room Sinan had booked.

As the cab pulled up to the hotel Ece felt the same nerves as yesterday creeping up. She retrieved the key from reception and decided to get some water before she headed up as she still had about 20 minutes. She went over to the hotel bar and ordered a glass of water. It did nothing for her nerves. 'A little drink should settle my nerves' Ece thought. 'People don't call it liquid courage for nothing'. Ece ordered a drink from the barman. The makeup and outfit must have made her look older than her age because the barman didn't ask for her ID. Ece sipped on her cranberry vodka going over possible poses and the test ad script she needed to recount in her mind. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a man at the end of the bar who looked in shambles. He was quite good looking. He must have been in his late 20s. He had dark blonde hair and blue eyes. He sort of reminded her of Yasin. He had a bit too much to drink Ece could tell. She paid him no further attention and continued reviewing in her head. Not feeling any different Ece ordered another drink and another. She thought it must have been mostly juice because she felt normal for the most part. She got up to go to the bathroom to fix up her makeup.

'You can do this' she told herself. She practiced some poses and the short lines in the mirror before returning to bar. The lonely man at the corner of the bar was gone. Ece didn't know why she was looking for him anyway. At this point she was feeling a bit more than tipsy. It would probably be best to head up now. Ece checked her watch and she was 15 minutes late. 'Shit!' she worried. 'What if he's already gone'. Ece headed up and found room 910.

The room was empty. She couldn't tell if Sinan bey had already come and gone or if he was yet to arrive. Ece decided to take sit on the bed and wait another half hour. If he didn't show up in that time she would go back home. Besides, she felt drunk and she needed to sober up a bit. She couldn't return home in her current state. She sat on the bed on the other side of the hotel room.

Fazilet found her new workplace and walked up the the large mansion, only 20 steps from the Bosphorus. Mansion wasn't sufficient to describe the grand white structure before her. It was more like a palace.
