CHAPTER ONE:
CRUCIO VS ENGORGIO SKULLUS

Aurora Lyra Black hated the stereotyping that being beautiful meant all your problems were minor, and you have the best life possible.
She was a living example of this stereotype, she was a beautiful girl and she knew she was - this wasn't her being overconfident, she was brought up always being told how beautiful she would be when she was older (she never considered this a compliment, especially when given by men she met at dinner parties). She used to have thin hair until seeing one of the many talented hairdressers in Diagon Alley who used a potion to make her hair a lot more thicker. Since then her hair which reached the top of her rib cage was fuller and smoother. Her hair was the same colour as Obsidian, and often at times she wondered what she'd look like if her hair had been blonde, or red. She (unknowingly to her whom she inherited them from) had moon coloured eyes that would glisten with mischief when giving the chance. She was good looking, and she knew it.
She was also liked, and she knew it.
Unfortunately, her beauty often led people to believe she was nothing more than a happy person all day, every day. That she had a perfect life.
She did not.
According to some, it was impossible to be good looking, and have issues.
She did.
(Even though she hadn't come to terms with some of them yet.)
That she was a ray of sunshine that walked through the halls of Hogwarts, and because of her carefree attitude, and lack of respect towards higher figures that she didn't care about what people said to her.
Deep down, she did.
Who doesn't care what people thinks of them?
The route of her problems all came from Sirius Black and Magnolia Aleksander. Her parents. To her, she didn't have parents.
Her mother died when she was less than a year old, killed by Death Eaters she was told. However, as she got older that seemed less likely considering she was always told different names of the Death Eater who killed her. She never questioned it however. Her father had been a cold-blooded killer who was sent to Azkaban. He killed muggles, he killed two of his best friends, some Daily Prophet Articles even wrote that he killed her mother.
