CHAPTER TEN:

LUPIN'S FAVOURITISM

Draco was finally out of his sling, and used every moment he had impersonating Harry falling off his broomstick. Today for example, while they were sitting in Defence, he spent almost ten minutes taunting Harry.

"Shut up, Draco. God, how am I cousins with you?" Aurora barked, over towards the blonde haired boy who sent her a glare.

Lupin wiped his fingers off his jacket, and begun speaking. The first question he asked was how there lesson with Snape went, which probably wasn't smart considering they spent the night before complaining a lot about the teacher.

"It's not fair, he was only filling in, why should he set us homework?"

"We don't know anything about werewolves-"

"Two rolls of parchment!"

Lupin frowns deeply. "Did you tell Snape we haven't covered them yet?"

"Yes but he said we were really behind."

"He wouldn't listen."

"Don't worry. I'll speak to Professor Snape." Lupin sends them an assuring smile. "You don't have to do the essay."

Aurora didn't really care whether or not he assigned her to do the detention, he wasn't the Professor - so why should she have to do anything he said for that class? Fair enough if he was the Professor, but he wasn't.

"Oh no. I've already done it." Hermione squeaked from the top of the classroom. "This is horrible."

"Does that mean I don't have to do the detention?" Aurora asked.

Lupin turned his attention to the black haired girl sitting next to Harry. She looks up at him with beaming grey eyes.

"It's not my fault he was being a total-"

Lupin got an odd sense of nostalgia when she started that word. All he could think of was her father.

"-Slime ball." Aurora finished with an annoyed grunt as she leaned back into her seat.

Remus was snapped out of his thoughts as the students stared at him in confusion.

"No of course not. I'll convince him to let you away with it, this once."

A large grin appeared on her face as she called Hermione, who turned around to be greeted with a smirk.

The lesson itself was quite entertaining, even she found it good. Lupin was a good Professor - maybe even the best they had.
