It was around noon, with a golden shine through the glass window, when a certain ringtone went off. It wasn't Demi, as that was reserved for her brother only, this time Cher Lloyd broke through the air. Almost immediately she saw Elliot peek from upstairs, a eyebrow cocked and a goofy grin plastered on his stupid face, Farren stuck her tongue out at him.Carlie, her best friend with the perfect vacation, that she had completely forgotten, why was she calling?
"Hey?"
" Oh holy fried chicken, I can not believe it, Farren ! Farren where are you? I have been in this airport for days, my flight got delayed. They said they can give me another ticket, so wherever you are in the airport, meet me at terminal c-" Her friend's barbie doll voice spoke a million miles per second, so Farren cut her off.
"Okay, calm down. For one, I am staying with the Parker family, and I'm totally in for Hawii, like what! When do they reschedule for?" Farren smiled into the phone turning into the kitchen to start making another coffee.
"Well they said next week, so if you can drive back up here on the eighth?"
The voice was electronically passed to Farren's ear, ringing and crackling, along with chatter filled noise in the background of the call distracted her from answering the obviously apparent question.
"Oh, Well," She peered through the fogged window, a thick layer of sleet mixed with clumps of snow piled high over the roads, " There is no possible way I could make the drive, thirty minutes away is too long of a walk. I think I will have to sit this one out."
Farren was disappointed, very apparent as the curled lip and dimmed eyes showed, for a moment she thought she could escape this house, and her feelings. She listened to her friend's protest, and high pitched whining, almost bringing a smile to her face when she mentioned the guy whom was upstairs probably shirtless at the exact moment.
Maybe Hawii wasn't her adventure, maybe the Parker's house was.
Farren eventually hung up, whilst Carlie cried her stupid ideas, knowing that her friend would call back again she turned her phone onto do not disturb.
"Is there a cat down here, " Elliot joked as he bounced down the stairs in a black hoodie that had loose threads hanging down the side of the arms.
"Shut up, as if you don't have a annoying best friend, besides who wouldn't want to take me to hawii," Farren threw a dark burgundy pillow at his annoying, sculpted face.
"I wouldn't, " He raised a hand, taking the pillow and placing it and himself next to Farren.
"As if, you'd probably invite me first," she spoke, reaching over him at the tv remote.
Reluctantly he grabbed it first, throwing a cheeky smile her way, before dangling it over her head and chanting stupid things whilst she tried to grab it without getting up.
Thomas sat at the top of the stairs before slowing bumping his bum on the way down, the two just looked at him and laughed, the pause of movement gave Farren enough time to snatch the remote and joust his side with her elbow sending him a pointed look.
The small movement caused a whirlwind of pain, and a grunt from Elliot, as well as a fit of laughter from Thomas, who grabbed the WII remotes from the tv stand, before jumping onto the couch next to Farren.
Thomas's brown hair was parted messily, the brown strands tangled, Farren let her hand run loosely through the tangles as he curled up next to her waiting for Elliot to set up Mario Kart.
Thomas rubbed his eyes, which flourished green and blue, they closed and opened quickly as he tried to become more awake.
"Hey sleepyhead." Farren grinned ruffling Thomas's hair.
"No not the hair!" Thomas whined pushing Farren's arm away.
"Alright." Farren laughed ruffling his hair one more time.
Elliot walked out of the room soon returning with three hot chocolates. Handing one to Farren and one to Thomas. They both sipped on the hot chocolate.
"Mhm my favorite thing ever is hot chocolate!" Farren grinned.
"Umm what about me?" Thomas asked putting a hand over his heart acting hurt.
"Eh." Farren waves her hand a teasing look on her face.
"Elliot! Farren isn't being nice to me!" Thomas whined.
"It's okay. Hot chocolate is my favorite thing too." Elliot grinned.
"Woah now! What about me?" Farren frowned playfully.
"Nah. All I need is hot chocolate and Mario Cart. So let's play." Elliot said.
Elliot turned on the game and the three of them started to play Mario cart.
