Cold beads of sweat fell from my temples as I got up from bed. The inevitable tears stained my cheeks. I clutched on my soft pastel sheets out of horror. The morning sun giving its light from my rose-tinted windows was supposed to make my heart warm, but nothing changed, the anxiety within me still conquered.

That nightmare of being chased with a knife while I was locked inside a dark house was too vivid — it felt like I was truly present in that scenario — as if the murderer was trying to get me in my reality. Even the sinister laughter didn't leave my mind, tearing up my system. It felt too real, it's insane.

I breathed heavily and drank some water. I need to catch my breath. That nightmare wasn't real, Sunshine. Calm down!

I opened my roseate windows. The sun's golden rays cradled my skin. Citrus and autumn covered the universe. The clouds were tinted orange like the tangerine skies. Ah, morning light! The beautiful view dispersed my worries into bliss. This is what I need.

My senses began to calm down. Euphoria ran though my inner world that even my energy started to glitter. My eyes spoke of love as I looked at the sky. A small smile was written in my lips. The most trivial things are indeed the most beautiful.

I looked down and saw my neighbor watering the sunflowers at his front yard. He's the new boy in town. Angelic brown curls, milky skin, and baby pink lips met my sight. Savior, like a sunflower, was made out of light and all things tender.

His family already abandoned him, yet here he was, humming a soft song as if the world wasn't cruel to him. He still kept the flowers bloom in harmony away from despair.

My heart felt every poetic emotion while dancing slowly, taking me to the marmalade sunlit skies. I sighed dreamily as I admired his ethereal beauty.

I bit my lower lip and went downstairs to eat my breakfast, feeling livelier than ever, as if sunflowers began to grow in my heart.
