After school hours, I walked towards my house while humming. Fields of flowers were conjured up my pathway. The cold breeze felt like a wintry graze, clashing with my skin. I dreamt of raining sunflowers, autumn leaves, and a dash of a lover's fervor; my sunlight against the arctic wind.
My Art teacher gave us an assignment today. I'm pretty excited to do it, the idea of creating and giving birth to a new craft, it would take me to another universe. I admire art in all forms for it's a myriad of hope.
Our assignment was about drawing the most significant thing in our lives and I already had an idea of what to draw.
My mood lightened up when I saw Savior. He's watering his sunflower garden at the moment. I walked towards him and gave him a polite smile when our eyes met.
"Hey. Good afternoon," he greeted in a gentle tone.
My smile widened.
"Hey..." I murmured softly. "Can I draw your sunflowers?"
He seemed confused at first but smiled eventually.
"Yeah! May I ask what for?"
"For our assignment," I reasoned out and giggled sheepishly.
"Okay, Sunshine." He smiled.
I nodded at him while my warm smile remained on my lips. My checkered skirt converged with the dewy grass. I grabbed the pink journal and some cute pencil inside my bag to start illustrating.
I looked up and saw Savior watching me draw. My cheeks flushed. I began to feel conscious about my work, but still, I smiled at him.
"It's the most significant thing to me so... I decided to make it my subject," I explained.
His eyes let out a spark. Something glinted in his soul that I couldn't name. His lips curved a bit.
"Oh. Draw the sunflowers and me, then."
I looked at him in surprise. I acted as I didn't understand what he said just now and pretended to look clueless, trying to calm down.
"Huh?" I asked in a confused tone.
He flashed a devilish smirk.
"Nothing." He chuckled and stood up to continue watering his garden.
