a new girl joins the team right as everything is falling apart. Will she pull the team together or will they turn her world upside down.
I wake around 7:30 in the morning to my alarm going off in my ear loudly. I roll out of bed as the memories of last night flood into my brain leaving me feeling quite depressed. I walk into my bathroom and turn on my shower letting it steam up a bit before I actually get inside of it. I tie my hair up into a messy bun before stripping out of my clothes and walking into the steaming hot shower.
I shower for 30 minutes giving myself enough time to wash my hair and all that other stuff before I got out and went into my clothes to get dressed. I go through the clothes that are still in my closet before picking out a pair of mom jeans, a black tank top, a white zip up jacket, and a pair of superstar adidas to wear for the day. I get dressed and walk into the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my hair and makeup before it's time to go. After getting ready and doing all the essentials to get my day started I walk into my living room to find my mom and grandparents in the kitchen cooking, laughing, and drinking some amazing smelling coffee. It instantly brings a smile to my face to see my mom happy and smiling after all the things that happened the previous day and even the previous years. I walk over to the island and sit on one of the chairs next to my brother who is contently watching paw patrol on my moms phone. I ruff up his hair a little bit he doesn't even seem to care as all he does is plaster a smile on his face and laughs. I say good morning to all the adults as they say good morning back, my mom reaches into a cabinet bringing down a small white mug with black wording that says "eat drink dance repeat" she places the cup underneath the keurig machine and popping in my favorite Carmel latte coffee pod from Starbucks into the little hole at the top of the machine. I give her a smile as a thank you and watch as she goes back to cooking the bacon and pancakes which looks insanely fluffy. I walk back upstairs remembering that I left my phone on the bathroom counter and go to retrieve it, not wanting to go downstairs again just yet I slump across my bed and lazily scroll through Instagram until I come to a post that causes me to scream with happiness.

I instantly like the picture and continue screaming inside my head as I run down the stair as fast as I can into the kitchen. I make it into the kitchen out of breath and my mom, grandparents, and even little brother look at me like im crazy. I go to show them the phone until I notice someone going on with my notification bar, I click the little button until I see THOUSANDS of people following me and like my pictures including all of the ALDC girls, Abby, The moms, and even some of the girls friends. I scream again with scares my mom into snatching my phone and looking at what happened, she smiles when she sees the picture of me and kenzie but goes wide eyed as she looks at my follower count which went from 345 to 4,865 in a matter of minutes.
I ate my food and talked with my family about the ALDC and all the stuff that's been happening on social media not including the post from my old dance team. We finished eating and packed the car with all our suitcases and bags so that we wouldn't have to come back home after running our errands and all that stuff. I kissed my grandparents and my little brother and gave them all a high before telling them bye and hopping into the car hooking my phone up to the aux cord and blasting Billie eilish throughout the car. We started towards the photography studio my moms friend owned so I could take new head shots for LA. It was a 45 minute drive but I spent most of it listening to music and texting Maddie Mackenzie and Brynn who are actually super nice. When we finally arrive to the studio my mom and I walked to the front desk.
"May I please see Cathy?" My mom asked the lady at the front desk.
The lady walks into a back room before coming back with my moms friends who's dressed like she just woke up.
"Oh my god Katie how are you." She says bending slightly and giving me and my mom a hug.
"I'm wonderful how are you." I say back respectfully and give her a wide smile.
"I'm doing good and even better now that your here to get your headshots and pictures." She says towards me and my mom.
"Hey Cathy it's so good to see you and thank you for doing this on such short notice." My mom says nicely to the woman with her hair in a ponytail with bangs.
"No problem at all I'm happy I could help get this girl ready for her big debut out in LA." She responds with wide eyes.
