Ten minutes later we arrive at the apartment my mom had rented and got out all our bags. I take each of my suitcases plus my carry on bag and make my way to the front door so we could head in and get everything situated.

45 minutes later I had all my things in my room and my bag packed ready to go to Maddie's house. I go into the space that would be the living and sit down waiting for my mom to finish whatever she was setting up in her room. She finally walks out with a slight smile on her face and grabs the car keys indicating that she was ready to go.

I simply text Maddie for the address to her house and put it into the GPS so that we could find our way. Minutes later we arrive in front of a large house with a gated backyard, I stare out the window as my mom honks the horn indicating to the Ziegler's that someone was outside their home. Kenzie comes out followed by Maddie and immediately run to the car door, screaming and hugging me tightly as I get out of the car. Melissa and my mom smile at each other and give a quick hug before my mom unlocks the trunk allowing me to get my bags out from back.

"Bye mom thanks for dropping me" I say appreciative as I begin to carry my things inside.

Maddie, Kenzie, and I instantly head to maddie's room as they help me out my things in the corner of her large room. We head back downstairs to ask melissa if she could take a instagram picture for us. It ended up turning into a mini photo shoot that ended with us taking what seemed to be a million pictures in the ziegler's backyard. I decided to post a picture of all three of us standing together with our leg popped out and i captioned it "hanging with my m&m's @kenzie @maddieziegler"

We decide to hang in the backyard for little bit, enjoying the view of the LA sunset and watching as the sky turned different colors.

"I can't believe i'm actually here." I spoke up as we laid back in the grass near the pool. Maliboo had found his way outside and was now cuddled up in between kenzie and I.

"I'm so proud of you" Maddie said to me, smiling slightly. "This has never happened to another dancer at the ALDC  let alone a random dancer at a competition, Abby must really see the potential in you"

I don't respond instead I just close my eyes, thinking of all the ways this could change not only my dance career but my entire life.

Melissa quickly slides open the patio door to inform us that she was ordering pizza but we should probably head inside because it was getting late. We all got up and kenzie grabbed maliboo as we walked upstairs to hang out in maddie's room until the food arrived.

"I'm so bored" Kenzie said as she plopped down on her sisters king sized bed. I joined her on the bed as I began thinking of ways we could keep ourselves entertained.

"We could do a live on instagram?" I suggested to the two brunettes as kenzie laid there and maddie fixed her makeup in her vanity mirror.

"That's not a bad idea and we can do it on my account!" Maddie said from the other corner of the room. We all agreed to the live stream and ended up setting the phone on maddies makeup vanity as we all sat down crowded around the small device.

"Hi guys it's maddie and i'm with kenzie and our new friend katie!" Maddie said enthusiastically to the viewers of the live. I waved as kenzie said hi to the people on her sisters live.

"Should we do a Q&A?" I said as I turned to maddie, since it was her livestream after all. She agreed to the Q&A and seconds later the questions started rolling in, majority of them being about me and who I was.

"Well i'm Katie Cohen but my friends call me Kate or Kat and i'm from michigan but I met maddie and kenzie at a dance competition" I said to the camera, smiling as I took over the live.

We all talked for little while longer before Melissa came in and told everyone that the pizza had arrived.

"We have to go eat dinner guys but we'll be back on later, bye!" Maddie said to the fans has she exited out of the live stream. We grab our phones and walk down the ziegler's long staircase which leads to the living room of the large home, we make our way into the kitchen where melissa was busy pouring drinks and setting the plates down for us to eat.

I ended up with two slices of cheese pizza and some lemonade which was my favorite combination. We all sat around the table and ate as we talked about what to expect for my first week at the ALDC.

"There's nothing to worry about katie" Melissa said comfortingly from the other side of the table "I've known abby long enough to know that she wouldn't just give this opportunity to someone if she didn't think they could handle it."

I smiled as the three ziegler's reassured me that everything was going to be fine when monday came around which was only a day away. After finishing dinner kenzie and I asked if we could go swimming while maddie worked on a tap combination that abby had sent her earlier that day.

"Go ahead girls but don't stay out too long, it's getting late." Melissa said as she got up to wash all of our dishes

Kenzie and I changed into our bathing suits in her room before taking a mirror picture for her snapchat. I was dressed in a lavender triangle bikini and kenzie wore a baby pink high waisted bikini. We took a couple pictures before posting them on kenzie's snapchat with the caption "never too late for swim day @katiecohen"

We spent the rest of the night in the ziegler's pool which was lit up by LED pool lights and patio lights that Melissa got installed into the backyard. Maddie even ended up joining us after her tap practice and we all had a good time swimming and talking to one another.

By the time it hit 11:30 we were all pretty wore out and we headed inside to shower and chill in maddie's room. After showering and getting dressed we decided to watch a movie and eat some popcorn until we all fell asleep across the brunette girls bed.
