Chapter 24

I'm back!! Conference was exhausting, but a great learning and networking opportunity. Hope everyone had a great couple of days! I know this chapter is a little shorter than most, but I also didn't want to fill it with shit, just to make it longer. ;)

As we run out of the house, I looked at Zane. "Do you think he raped her?" I needed Zane to tell me no because if he didn't, I was going to rip anyone associated with Kade, limb by limb.

He sighs, "Theo, let's not jump to conclusions. Let's find her and bring her home safely and then you can talk to her. I know it doesn't look good, but the fact that he was knocked out is a good sign. There was a definite struggle in that office and you and I both know it wasn't
Kade who did it. Let's be honest, Kade wouldn't have hit him with a lamp and run. He would have ended Antonio's life, but we know some crazy ass firecracker would."

I smirk, realizing what a badass Haley is. "What the fuck was she doing here?"

Zane shrugs his shoulders, "honestly, I have no fucking clue. But, my guess would be that Haley found something and started being nosey. That girl gets herself into more trouble, than any person I've ever met. I just hope she keeps her mouth shut with Kade. He doesn't know who she is and he won't hesitate to harm her."

I shake my head, "I know." I look at Bella. "Go to the warehouse and get prepared. Call Diego and have him get blueprints of that warehouse. I want to know every crack and crevice of that building." Bella nods and takes Zane's keys. I look at Zane. "You're with me - we are going to the warehouse. If Kade wants a war, I'll give him one."

As Zane and I are driving to the warehouse, Zane becomes quiet. "Zane, I know you're a man of few words, but it's rare with me. You're always lecturing me about something. What are you thinking about?"

I could see his temple throbbing, "you're not gunna like what I have to say. I think we should wait until morning to attack. We need a plan Theo. We can't just burst in there, guns ablazing."

I smirk, "you have little confidence in me. You and I are going to scope out the warehouse and to see if they are actually holding Haley there. I need to know before I walk into that warehouse and risk everyone's life. We are attacking tonight. I don't want them to be prepared."

He smirks at me.

We arrive a block away from the warehouse. We shut the lights off, trying to blend in with the dark sky. "What are we going to do here?" Zane crosses his arms, examining the tall, metal building that sits beside a large pier. The front door is illuminated by a spot light.

I shut off the vehicle. "Scoping out our targets."

We open the doors quietly - shutting them by pressing the door closed with your body, muffling the sound. We notice instantly the parking lot doesn't look like it has light. We get low to the ground and try to stay in the shadows to conceal our whereabouts. As we reach the building, we position ourselves up next to the metal panels - going undetected.

Walking around the building, we notice two main doors, guarded. The one big overhead door is next to the front door. As we walk towards the back, it is not well lit - the perfect cover. I look at Zane and motion to him, pointing towards the roof - signaling I will push him up. Zane puts his foot into my cupped hands and I thrust him up. He grabs ahold of the ledge and heeves himself on the roof. I wait and wait, looking at my watch. Hurry the fuck up Zane, we don't have all day.

Finally Zane peers over the ledge and I help him jump down. "What did you see?" I ask.

He bites his cheek, "Haley is in there."

I release a sigh of relief, but realize Zane looks worried. "What is it?"

"She's alive, but looks a little roughed up. She has a bad cut on her thigh and a black eye."

I could feel the rage building. I lean against the building and run my hands through my hair. How in the fuck am I going to get her out of this? "Theo you have to keep calm right now, they can't know we are here. We have the upper hand. It looked like there were maybe 20 men that I could see. So maybe 30 total. They have a lot of heavy weapons."

I nod, letting him know we've gathered enough information. Making a run to the vehicle, we head to the warehouse.

Bella hurriedly walks to us. "I've been making calls to make sure we have all weapons to take down Kade, but we need to know the plan. Our team is currently gathering everything. However, we do not have explosives, so I've sent a call into our allies and I'm sending Stephen and Cale to pick them up. We should have all weapons ready to go in two hours. Diego is currently working on getting the blueprints."

I look into the security room and see Diego diligently working on getting access to the blueprints. Bella and Zane gather around me. "I want 50 soldiers, explosives, guns, amo and bullet proof vehicles, ready to move out by 3 am." I say firmly.

Bella nods her head, "I'm already ensuring we have explosives, guns, amo and bullet proof vehicles."

Zane looks at her, "what? Afraid the guys might bite you?"

She shoves him, "no, you should be more worried that I would break their necks."

Zane steps aside and starts making phone calls, gathering everyone.

Diego runs over with the blueprints.

I grab the blueprints and spread them across the table. "Okay, Zane and I noticed they have two walk-in doors and a large overhead door. It's going to be hard to drive the vehicles towards the warehouse without being spotted. So, you guys will have to park a block away and the rest of us will head towards our stations. I want explosives on all doors. The blast will kill some and stun the others. My team will take the big overhead door. Bella, your team will take the side door. Diego, your team will take the front door. And, Zane, your team will propel from the ceiling. Now - I want ensure that Haley won't get hurt, so Zane I want you to look for Haley when you are up near the skylight. We do not detonate the explosives until we get the go ahead that Haley is not near the blasts." I look between all three eyes watching me.

"Once the explosives are detonated, that's the signal for the bullet proof vehicles to make their way to the overhead door. We throw smoke bombs, concealing our entrance and use the bullet proof vehicles as cover." I explain.

Everyone nods in agreement. "Once inside, kill every single soul you come across - no survivors. Once I'm inside, I'm looking for Haley. I know Kade won't get too far away from her. If something happens to me before I get inside, the main object is to get Haley out and kill Kade."

Zane pulls my elbow, pulling me into a corner. "I need you to understand this, if it comes down between your life or Haley's I'm going to choose yours." He whispers.

I clench my jaw. "You know I love that girl, but we need you, you're our leader." Zane explains further.

I put my hand on his shoulder, "She comes out of that building alive, no matter what. I mean it Zane. She's shown me how to be compassionate. If she dies, so does my heart. I know this, that spot in my chest will be a black void - never able to feel again." Zane sighs, with the understanding that I will become this heartless monster again.

"If I die, you will make a great leader." I rub his head and push him away - smirking at him.

His eyes widen, "Zane, you're a smart man - trust your instincts." I say firmly.

Everyone gathers around in the warehouse. I stand on the stairs able to see everyone.

"Today, we get our revenge. Today, we take down the Rizzo gang, showing once in for all, we are to be feared! We will take no survivors - show them what happens when you betray us! Kade wanted a war, we are giving it to him! Be fast, shoot well and be safe. And at all costs, do not let them take you hostage. We are family, always have each other's backs!" I yell, as everyone cheers.
