Demi

I was freaking out once I realized how bad my libido was. I have never experienced anything like this. I was always turned on by Nick. What was wrong with me? I made an appointment with my doctor immediately. I was hoping he would have some answers.

It was a few days after I called the doctor that I was able to get in. I was called back by a nurse, then when I went through the door, I recognized her. "Demi! Hi. Do you remember me?"

"You look familiar. Oh, wait... you were my nurse in the ER after the shooting." I said.

"Kristen. Yes. It's good to see you, again. And now you're not pregnant." She led me to the scale & did all of her things. "I just started working for Dr. Anderson a few months ago. I love it."

"You didn't like the ER?" I asked as she took my blood pressure.

"I did for a while, but it was so stressful. This is less stress & I'm too young to be so stressed all the time." Kristen laughed.

I smiled & nodded, as if I understood. I followed Kristen into a room & she asked why I was there. I explained to her about my lack of sex drive & she nodded & wrote some things down on the clipboard. "I hope this is temporary." I said, chuckling.

"I'm sure it is. It's very common after pregnancy. And you're on a new medication. That could be affecting it, too." Kristen handed me a gown. "Go ahead & put the gown on & Dr. Anderson will be in shortly. "Listen, I have a friend who is throwing a grown up kind of party this weekend & it could be just what you need to get out of your head & relax with something fun for you & your husband to do." Kristen handed me a business card. "The address is on there, so if you decide to come it's Saturday at 8 p.m. My cell number is on the back of the card in case you don't still have it." She smiled, warmly.

"A party?" I chuckled. "We haven't been to a party in ages. I wouldn't even know what to do...."

"Just come & have fun & be yourself. My friend would be honored if you came, so I hope you will." Kristen smiled as she opened the door. "Maybe I'll see you this weekend." She winked before she left.

Dr. Anderson assured me my problem was temporary, but to keep being intimate with Nick even if we didn't have sex. That wasn't a problem, but when I would normally get horny, it would just upset me if I didn't. Nick, bless his heart, was so patient with me. When I told him about running into Kristen & her inviting us to a party, he was surprisingly open to it.

"It sounds like fun. We haven't had a night out in a while. Not like out out. Dinner once in a while doesn't count." He smirked as he held me in bed that night. "We should go. We'll see if we can find someone to babysit."

Maddie & Frankie offered to babysit & Reid was excited when we told him. "I wuv Uncle Fwankie. He act wike me." Reid said while we were making them all dinner.

"Yea, he's silly. And hasn't grown up." Nick laughed.

Before Nick & I left, we walked in the living room to see Frankie lying on the couch & Reid was poking him in the eye repeatedly, laughing hysterically. Frankie was exaggerating his reaction, only making Reid laugh harder. "I think he will be ready for bed, early, tonight." I laughed & Nick nodded in agreement. We said goodbye to the kids, then left.

Later, Nick & I were pulling up at the house where the party was at. He looked at me & took a breath. "I hope this isn't weird since we won't know anyone." He laughed, then added, "But everyone might know us."

"Kristen said everyone is really cool. And lots of fun & she said it should be just what we need to kick our love life back into gear."

Nick's eyebrow shot up. "You told her?"
