Wednesday 31st October

Halloween. I like Halloween, because you can dress up and get free candy. And I like candy. This year I'm going as a zombie version of Minnie Mouse, and my friend, Natasha, is going as Emily from The Corpse Bride. Most people my age take Halloween as a chance to party and show off as much cleavage as they can; but my friends and I have never understood that.

"Hey, Luke." I smile, walking up the checkout aisle and giving him my items, as apposed to wasting time and waiting for the conveyor belt to reach to where he was sat.

"It's Halloween; I'm not Luke anymore." I saw him smirk, "I'm Lucifer."

"That's the name of the devil, right?" I ask, I mean I don't listen in Religious Studies, so the details are a bit sketchy. He nods, scanning the single low-calorie cereal bar, "so, you're being the devil tonight, then?"

"I'll probably lock my gates and eat all the candy in my house, tonight. I've never really been one to celebrate Halloween." He admits, pushing the packet of PVA glue to where I place it in my bag, "I can never be bothered to dress up, either." I nod, "I normally just visit my friends house, and we just play FIFA." He scans the bottle of kitten shampoo, "anyway, are you doing anything nice? Dressing up?"

"Trick-or-treating with my friend. I'm going as zombie Minnie Mouse and she's going as The Corpse Bride, I think." I say, smiling, "we go every ye-"

"Gee!" Natasha shouts, rushing towards me, "are you still coming over tonight? Why are you buying lilac socks?" She bombards me with questions.

"Um, hey Natasha." I reply, scratching my bag, and noticing that Luke's laughing, "yeah I'm still coming round, and I-er-"

"She has big feet." He butts in, "gosh Natasha, didn't you know that?"

"Oh. Uh, I'll see you tonight then?" She says hurriedly before running back out of the store. I nod, turning back to where Luke is smirking, and smug look placed on his face.

"So, Gee..." He grins, "what's Gee short for? And you may as well tell me, before I find out."

"Giovanna. I hate it," I admit, putting the kitten shampoo into my bag.

"And you finally found some lilac socks, hm, Gee?" Luke smiles, showing his pearly white teeth, and scanning them before throwing them to me,"and finally, your banana flavoured toothpaste. To go with your toothbrush, I presume?"

"Of course." I smile back at him, rearranging the stuff in my bag so everything can fit in there, "I hope you have a wonderful Halloween, by the way, with your friend playing FIFA and eating candy."

"You too." I wave to him, walking away.
