I groaned and stirred. I smelt food near, so I got up and transformed in my animal form. Then, I slowly got out of my cave and ran through the Dead-Wishes forest. I caught up with a deer. I jumped on it, broke it's neck and took it on my back, before running back into the cave.
I dumped the deer on the ground as my mother and sisters woke up.
"What did you bring us today?" My mother asked as she stirred.
I turned back into my original form. "A deer." I panted out.
"A deer!" My sisters exclaimed and ran to it, before eating some of it.
I chuckled at their eagerness. Food was rare these days, so me and mother waited until they were satisfied, before eating a little bit of the rests and packing away what we didn't eat for tomorrow.
"Can we go run today, Dan? Please." Maya, my younger sister, asked as she looked at me with puppy eyes.
I looked at mother and she nodded.
"Okay." I smiled at them as they all cheered and transformed in their animal form.
I really hoped we wouldn't meet a wolf-killer in our run.
