Chapter 11

"Hey, hey, hey, hey!" I breath out as I walk faster away from him. Ano nanaman ba ang problema nito. "Heeeeeeyyyyy! Lena!" Hinarap ko siya. "I told you not to call me that!" I hissed at him. He smiled at my reaction.

Why did I apologise to this guy....

Pinagpatuloy ko ang paglalakad at mas binilisan ko na. Ever since the day that I said sorry to him he started annoying me again. Kala mo walang nangyari.

I reach the cafeteria and immediately took my food  and went at the garden like I always do. I sit on the same spot that I sit in everyday and tried to concentrate on the food.

"Lena!!! Tumingin ka nga! Para akong walang kausap eh!" He says. He started to annoy me that made me have a hard time to focus on my food. Pinagpatuloy niya ang pagsasalita hangga't di ko na napigilan sarili ko. "For f*ck's sake MR. MONTERO! Concentrate on your food!" I hissed at him with wide eyes.

He remained silent then smiled. "Okay, at least di mo ako pinaalis." Sagot nya. Oo nga noh...why didn't I make him leave? Gosh! I've been acting weird lately....

I only rolled my eyes and started to eat. Oh fu*k it all......

Dada ng dada nanaman si Liam sa likod ko at wala akong magawa kundi pabayaan siya. I thought I could escape him but the teachers chose him to be my partner in our project. Ngayon plaplanuhin namin sa bahay kung paano gagawin ang project.

Nakaabot na kami sa bahay. I hold the door knob but I didn't turn it. Hinarap ko muna siya. "Wag na wag kang mag-iingay!" I warned him as I gave him a glare.  He only nods as a response.

Pinihit ko na ang pinto at naglakad papasok. I hear a woman's voice  from the living room. Nagdala ba si Leo ng babae? Nang nakaabot ako sa sala nanlaki ang mga mata ko. "Mom?" She looks at me then her face lit up. She stands up and hugs me tight. "Aw...honey I missed you." I wasn't able to answer. Suddenly It was quite.
"Who are you?" My body stiffed nang narinig ko ang tanong ni mama. I knew Liam was standing behind me and mom was looking behind me.

Mom suddenly Let's go of me and looked at me with wide eyes. "Could it be?!??" What? "Anak! boyfriend mo siya!?! Hala dalaga na ang anak ko!!!!! akala ko pa naman lesbian ka na anak! Huhuhu napakasaya ni mama!" What the fuck!!?!?! I literally face palmed. Why is my mom this childish...

"Ma." Sabi ko pero parang busy siya sa pang gugulo kay Liam asking him stupid questions. "Ma." Sabi ko pero wala parin. "Ma." I said....no response. I looked at Leo and he only gave me a smile and shook his head. I rolled my eyes.

I called mom several times pero wala parin. "MA!" This time sumigaw na ako kaya napatingin siya. "Bakit?" She asks like a kid. I sighed as her reaction. "He's not my boyfriend, so could you stop Asking him questions, it's embarrassing." I said. Then she pouted. "Akala ko pa naman ganap ka nang babae." Bulong niya. She sighs and smiled at me.

"Okay, I'll be in the kitchen, I'll be preparing snacks for you kids." She says and then walks away. I sit beside Leo and I told Liam to sit infront of us. He did. He smiled at us. "So Liam, Your not my sissy's boyfriend, are you?" I literally face palmed. "Leo!" I shouted and looked at him. "What?!?" He asks innocently.

We hear Liam's soft chuckle. "Hindi, I'm her friend." He answers. "Friend?" Leo asks. "I mean no offense but, 'Helena', 'friends', kinda sound weird." Liam chuckles at Leo's statement. Nanahimik nalang ako. Friends huh? I don't know why I let him be my FRIEND....why? Why do I let him be this close to me?  "Baka nga weird." He says and smiles.

Later on nagpatuloy ang pag uusap nila hangga't dumating si mama. They talked about random stuffs and I remained silent. Maya maya ay pinag-usapan na din namin ni Liam ang plano sa project.

"So I guess that's it." I say and stretched. He only nods and yawned. "Oh, it's already 8:32..." He says. I looked at the clock and he was right. "I better go." Sabi niya at tumayo. Tumayo din ako at ihinatid siya sa pinto. He waves goodbye to me and gave me a big smile. I nod at him and he walked away.

Nung di ko siya makita isinara ko na ang pinto. I turned back and saw mom standing behind me. "O my dear lord!!" I shouted in shock. I hear her Laugh. "Ma naman eh!" Sabi ko. She continued to laugh kaya pinabayaan ko siya. "Helena," I looked at her when she called me. "Liam.......He's like your father." I was suddenly stunned. "Not just the way he treats you, also the way he calls you, it's just like your father." She says. "Mom, not now." Ang nasabi ko lamang at umalis.

Is this the reason why I apologised? Is this the reason why I felt guilty before? Is this why I let him be my friend?

I closed my eyes as I remembered the day when my father last called me Lena......
