Louis had his things packed within an hour while Harry sat on the sofa in the living-room, waiting for him to leave. Harry didn't want Louis to leave but in order for him to get over the boy, he needed time apart.
"You sure you want me gone?" asked Louis as he carried his bags into the living-room.
"The sooner, the better," replied Harry, eyes glue to the plain wall in front of him.
Louis sighed, dumping his bags down. "Harry, I know-"
"What?" Harry snapped, turning his angry eyes in Louis' direction. "You know what exactly, Louis?"
"That you love me," said Louis. "And I'll understand if you just talked to me about it. But don't let me walk away. You and I both know it's not what you want."
Harry gave a bitter laugh.
"Harry, please," Louis begged.
Harry shook his head.
"You need someone here to protect you," Louis mumbled. "What if you go back to ..." he trailed off, trying to find the right words. "Well, you know."
"You actually remembered I used to cut then?" asked Harry. "Well, don't worry, Louis, because I won't bother wasting blood over you."
Louis let out a breath of relief. "So you won't cut?"
Harry shook his head no. "What do you care if I did anyway?"
"I still care about you," Louis told him.
"Nice to know," Harry muttered sarcastically. "Now, leave me alone."
Louis nodded, picking his bags back up. "Bye, Harry."
Harry ignored him. Louis took that que to walk out, slamming the door behind him.
While Harry was sat on the sofa crying, Louis made his way down the street. He didn't have far to go to his planned location. Instead of going straight to Eleanor's, Louis needed to make a stop off somewhere else. He went to see his trustworthy bandmate, Liam Payne.
With a few gentle knocks, Liam opened the door to a crying Louis. Liam's expression softened at the boy in tears before he decided to allow him entry.
"The fuck happened to you, Lou?" Liam asked as they walked into his living-room.
"I can't do it, Lee," Louis sobbed.
"Do what?" Liam asked with confusion.
"Pretend I don't remember Harry."
