It took some minutes for Leon to realize that he was in a hospital room. His whole body is in pain, especially his chest. Then he remembered that he was shot by the Escorian spy. He will pay for this, Leon thought angrily. Then he looked at his side. A nurse was sleeping sitting on a chair beside him. Her hands gently holding his. She was young in age, most probably near his age. The sunlight from the window fell upon her face making her pale skin glow. Leon kept looking at her mesmerized. She is beautiful.

He remembered the unknown voice singing him the lullaby in his dreams and somehow he had the feeling that the voice belonged to her. He also had a feeling that he had seen her somewhere before but where he couldn't remember. At that time the nurse slowly stirred awake. She opened her eyes and looked startled to find him looking back at her. She had deep brown eyes and staring at them suddenly there was a flash of memory in his mind about a pair of piercing blue eyes. Leon found it a bit unsettling that he was remembering the eyes of the Escorian spy at this moment.

The nurse quickly removed her hand from his and a lovely blush crept up on her pretty face. Leon found the reaction quite endearing.

"Oh, you are awake captain. I will call the doctor to check on you," she said averting his eyes. Then she hurriedly left the room leaving Leon alone.

Hilal had never fallen asleep while she was on duty before, let alone be caught by a patient. And when that patient turned out to be the Ocrenean captain whom she shot herself, she felt like if at that moment the ground opened up and swallowed her then it would have been better.

Never in her life, she was so embarrassed. She left there as quickly as she could and informed doctor Suat. She was dreading that she would have to go back there again with the doctor but nurse Ayse arrived releasing her from her duty. She was never been so thankful in her life to get away from the hospital.

Calm down Hilal. This is no big deal. Just do your duty as a nurse and forget about the morning. Hilal tried to calm herself down after arriving at the small home that was arranged for her by the hospital. She took off the contact lenses that she always wore outside as a disguise here and decided to take a shower to erase the earlier embarrassing situation from her mind. Afterall she has to prepare for the night duty again tonight.

When Hilal went back for duty that evening the soldier in front of the room prevented her from entering.

"Commander Filipos is talking with the captain, nurse. Please wait here until he finishes."

"No, let her enter. I want to meet with the nurse," Commander Filipos said from inside.

The soldier stood aside and Hilal entered the room with the medicine tray in hand.

"So you are the other nurse that has been in charge of the captain here."

"Yes, commander."

"What is your name?"

"Hilal."

"Nurse Hilal, you seem quite young. Are you sure you have enough experience to take care of a gunshot wound."

Of course, I can. Afterall, I made that wound, was what Hilal wanted to reply but she kept it in her head and instead said,

"Yes, I have several years of experience in nursing before. So rest assured there will be no fault in his care commander."

"Good," Commander Filipos nodded satisfactorily and then he turned back and said to the captain,
