Sign of chaos

It took him all night to reach to the capital of Eskor. Ali Kemal, the other Eskorian spy was reluctant at first to co-operate with him but once he heard the information about Hilal's little brother, he agreed to help him. He already prepared the fake papers to enter the country and with Ali Kemal accompanying him, Leon got into Eskor quite easily than he thought it would be possible in these war times.

"Hilal, put her brother under the care of one of her neighbours when she started the job. I know that women too. So we have to check there first," Ali Kemal informed Leon.

"Okay, let's go there first."

They both went to Mrs Fatma's house. Ali Kemal knocked at the door and waited for her to open the door impatiently. Mrs Fatma came out and she seemed surprised to see Ali Kemal at her door.

"Ali Kemal, what are you doing here?"

"What do you mean Mrs Fatma?" Ali Kemal was taken aback by her inquiry.

"Two soldiers came here a little while ago and said that you sent them to take Mehmet. So I sent him with them."

Hearing this Leon cursed under his breath which made Mrs Fatma to look at them suspiciously.

"Ali Kemal, is there any problem?"

"No Mrs Fatma. I think there has been a misunderstanding. I'll go check in my office for Mehmet now. Thank you."

"We have to do something fast. They have already taken him so they will carry out the order pretty soon I assume." Leon told Ali Kemal restelssly.

They both are at Ali Kemal's home after they discovered Mehmet was taken away by the Eskorian soldiers.

"Yes, I know Leon and I think they have taken him to the Eskorian spy headquarters."

"So what are we waiting for? Let's go there," Leon said impatiently.

"The problem is I can't be seen at the headquarters now. I'm supposed to be at Ocren to kill Hilal so if anyone sees me they will suspect me."

"It's not a problem. You can't go there but I can."

"Yes and I can help you get inside but that's it. After that, you are on your own. We don't know where they are keeping Mehmet so there is a high chance you might not get to him in time at all."

"Doesn't matter. I came this far so I have to see it through to the end. Just get me in the headquarters. I will find Mehmet before it's too late," Leon said determinedly.

It has been two days since she last saw him. Since he said it didn't matter to him anymore. Hilal can understand him completely. Has she been in his shoes, she would have reacted the same. Maybe even worse than he did. Hilal thought to herself. But still deep down her heart wants his forgiveness, her eyes yearned to see him one more time.

Where is he? What is he doing? Is he too angry with her? All these questions keep coming to his mind. The sound of someone approaching her prison cell made her hopefull but when she saw it was Commander Filipos entering instead of him, her hopes died down.

"Hello, Hilal. That is your name, isn't it?"

"Yes."

"You are quite clever you know. You almost get away with it."

At his taunting Hilal remained silent. So Commander Filipos continued,

"But not clever enough for Captain Leon it seems. He is the best in my army so no wonder there. But enough chit-chat. Have you thought about our proposal girl?"
