BRODY'S POV
"Let's just have a guys day today. Go out, catch a game or something." Says Drew.
"Yeah." All the guys agree.
"I just feel like staying in today, but hey, don't let me ruin the fun. Go on without me." I say to the guys.
They all hesitate, nod and soon, they all leave. It's around 4 when I put Mal down for a nap. I go around the house looking for Rae.
I don't find her in her room and go on to her balcony. I see her heading down towards the water. I quickly put on some swim trunks and walk out there.
I reach her just as she's about to put her feet in the water. She stops as I'm right behind her.
"I never want to leave." She says.
"Me neither." I say.
"The view is just so beautiful here." She says.
"I know." I say looking down at her.
She looks at me.
"Promise me one day we'll come back."
"I promise." I whisper staring down at her.
My eyes travel to her. Just as we're about to touch a big wave comes crashing into us. It knocks Rae off balance and I quickly scoop her up.
She starts laughing and splashes me in the face. We get out of the water and just start walking along the beach.
"So, what are you're plans after high school?" I ask her.
"Well, I want to go to college. I have no idea where yet. I think I might go to Paris. They have an amazing dance school there. And then I just want to become a professional dancer." She says.
"That sounds like a lot of fun." I say.
"It will be. So what about you?" She asks.
"Well, I just got signed by The University Of Madison and The University of Notre Dame so it's kind of just which ever one I pick." I tell her.
"That's incredible. I'm so happy for you." She tells me.
I smile.
"Hey, so for Regionals, they have a duet category. I was um... I was just wondering if maybe, you, me, um If you wanted to um."
She huffs.
"Would you like to do a duet with me?" She asks.
"I would love to." I say.
She gets a huge smile on her face. Before I know it, she's running back into the house. I don't have time to follow her because she comes right back out with her phone and new speaker.
"We have to start right away!" She tells me.
She starts to play a bunch of random songs. Then she comes across one the reminds me of her. "I don't want to live forever."
"That one." I say.
"That one?" She asks with a smile on her face.
"Yeah." I say breathlessly.
So here we are on the beach choreographing our duet. By the time we finish it's dark out. We go back in the house.
"I'm so excited for this duet." She tells me.
"Me too." I say.
I walk her up to her room.
"I had a really fun time today." She says.
"Me too."
She bites. and smiles. I start leaning forward and so does she. I hold my breath when I hear a door shut and laughing. I look towards the door to see the guys coming back.
I look down at Rae but she's already gone. I sigh, what am I doing? I have a girlfriend, she has a boyfriend. But I just can't resist myself when I'm around her. I think I'm falling.
Rae's POV
After the almost kiss with Brody, I decide to go out on the town and shop for a while. Today is our last day here and I haven't done much shopping.
So far, we've gone snorkeling, swimming with the dolphins, lounged on the beach, had a day for only netflix, and a lot of fun. I head to this one shop that I found on the corner of Main. I head inside and a bell chimes. I go over to the women's department and just start browsing.
I try on a few dresses and jeans and decide to buy a few. It isn't until I get to the front that I see the cutest duo bracelets. Each one has an Infinity symbol on it and it says Eternity and Infinity. I really like them so I grab them and set them on the counter.
"Did you find everything alright? The lady asks me. I nod. She rings up my stuff and then I leave. After I stop at Sephora and buy pretty much all new makeup, I head back home. It's been a really exhausting day.
I head straight up to my shower. I'm in love with it. There are different light switches for different moods. There are different water pressures. The shower has a glass door that you open. It's one of those really fancy showers. It's amazing.
After my long shower, I go into my bedroom and decide on a pair of sweatpants and a crop top. I go onto my deck and open up the doors. Once they're open, I go out and sit on one of the chairs. The breeze is nice and the sound of waves is relaxing. I really do want to stay. I would love to spend the rest of my life here.
RAE'S POV
Since we're going to be in the car for over 16 hours and we'll have finals when we get back, I've decided that Brody and I could work on his french.
"Où vas-tu à l'école?" I ask Brody. -Where do you go to school?
"La même école que nous belle" He says to me. -The same school as you beautiful.
"Moi aussi! Ma classe préférée est le français parce que la langue est si romantique. Et toi? J'ai entendu que vous étiez la classe de gymnastique préférée." I say to him. -Me too! My favorite class is French because the language is so romantic. And you? I've heard you're the favorite gym class.
"Le déjeuner compte-t-il? Sinon, je devrais dire l'histoire. Je pense qu'il est important pour nous d'apprendre de nos erreurs dans le passé." -Does lunch count? If not then I would actually have to say history. I think that it's important for us to learn from our mistakes in the past.
"I wish you guys would stop talking in french. It's making me nervous." Says Drew.
"Ça te rend nerveux? Peut-être que nous aimons simplement vous voir déménager. Vous êtes très drôle lorsque vous êtes mal à l'aise. Mais alors agian, il l'est aussi." I say to Drew and then jerking my finger at Brody. -It's making you nervous? Maybe we just like seeing you move. You are very funny when you are uncomfortable. But then agian, so is he.
"I honestly barely know what you said. You said something about Drew being nervous and him moving? It was funny and I'm funny too?" He asks me hoping that he got the gist of it.
"That's pretty much what I said." I say to him. He looks so happy. The rest of the ride is spent talking in French. And let me just tell you, it is not easy at times. I was so tired.
But finally we arrive back home. Thank God.
