Eternity and Infinity

It's the night of the ball and I'm getting ready by myself. This is one of the moments that I wish I had girl friends. I decided to style my hair up with pieces being pulled towards the front falling down to frame my face. I think this messy but cute bun is probably my favorite hairstyle. 

I have big studs in my ears and a diamond choker on. My heels are silver stilettos and go perfect with my dress.

Everyone is downstairs with their dates and so it's time. I walk down the stairs and everyone looks at me. As I get to the last stair, I didn't see a fallen button and start falling forward. I prepare for impact and when I don't feel the hard ground, I look up.

"Thank You." I say to Brody.

"No problem." he says.

"Are you ok." Asks Drew.

"I'm fine." I say smiling.

"Let's go."

We all leave and when we arrive to the ball it's amazing. The decorations are just beautiful.

"Let's Dance!" I say to Drew.

He nods and we go onto the dance floor. We dance for what feels like hours and it's actually really fun. Soon I'm sweaty but that doesn't stop me from swaying to the music. A slow song comes on and Drew pulls me close.

"Listen, Rae. I really like you. I'm willing to fight for your love." Drew says to me.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yeah, as long as you're ready, I'l fight." He says to me.

I nod. "I think I'm ready. The stress of finals is now off my shoulders and dance has become less and less stressful lately." I say to him.

"But first I want to know the guy that I'm fighting against." He says.

I sigh.

"Brody." I say.

He looks at me confused and then realized what I said.

"And now, announcing our Snow Princess and Snow Prince. And our 2017 Snow Prince is... Brody Daniels! Congratulation Mr. Daniels."

Brody walks up onto the stage and they hand him a crown and a snowflake wand.

"So, I have to compete against Brody. The basketball star whose going pro?" Drew says pretty much to himself.

"And Now, for your 2017 Snow Princess...

I look at Drew.

"Ok, I'm up for it." He says. I smile.

And then I look at Brody. He's grinning from ear to ear. "Who'd they call?" I ask him.

"No clue." he says.

I look around expecting someone to walk up there.

"Rae! They called your name!" Noah says coming up beside me.

"Are you sure? "I ask him. He pushed me forward a bit and I walk up onto the stage. They give me my tiara and my wand.

"And now for the Snow Dance." Says the announcer.

Everyone makes a big whole around the middle of the dance floor. Brody takes my hand and we walk down there. As fate would have it, our duet song started to play.

Brody takes my hand. He crushes our bodies together and I look up at him. "It looks like you're my king." i say to him.

"Since I'm King, Does this mean I'm also the Joker?" He asks with hint of playfulness in his eyes.

"I guess it does make you the Joker to my Harley." I say. "But only for the night."

He laughs. "Ride or Die lovers forever, right?" He asks me.

"Right." I say looking up into his eyes.

"We're going to do amazing next week." He says to me.

"I know." I say.

 We slowly sway back and forth. My eyes are closed and I'm leaning my head on his shoulder. When the song ends, I give him one last hug and I hear him whisper in my ear.

"This won't be the last time we dance together like this. Just wait."

Before I can respond, he's gone and I'm left stunned. Then Drew comes up to me.

"That was nice." He says.

"Yeah." I say. Drew and I dance until it's finally time to leave. I saw Brody leave about 20 minutes earlier and figured he was taking her home.  

Drew takes me home and I thank him for an amazing night. Once I reach my room, I see movement in Brody's room. I look and I'm shocked at what I see. Leanna, hands on the window sill, eyes closed, and clothes off. Behind her is Brody. 

And he's staring right at me. Leanna's moaning and Brody just keeps pounding into her. I should look away but I can't. I thought he wanted to fight for me? I must have been wrong. Leanna lets out one more long moan before I've had enough. I shut my blinds and sit on my bed. 

I sit at my vanity and start to take the pins out of my hair. The curls are a bit messy now but somehow still good. I hear somebody behind me and I know it's Brody. 

"What do you want." I ask. "You." He says. 

"No, if you wanted me, you wouldn't had sex with the girl that has made my life hell! Did you know that all throughout freshman year and sophomore year, she and her friends bullied me. A slap here and there but they taunted me. Told me I wasn't good enough. Told me I would never become captain of the dance team."

"Finally by junior year when I did make captain did they stop with the bullying. Except for Leanna. But she did make everyone hate me. I'm constantly hated and this is just another slap in the face to wake me up and tell me I'm not good enough. That I'm not worth the fight. But you know who thinks I am? Drew! He told me today that he would fight for me but it looks like he won't even have to fight anymore." I yell at him. 

"I'm sorry. She was there and I needed something to get my mind off of you." He says to me. "I shouldn't have done it and I regret it. 10 minutes of sex with her would be the equivalent to an hour of talking with you. I want to fight. I want to be there and I want to have you with me. And if it means giving up my whorish ways and fighting against Drew, I'll do it. Because you are worth it." He says to me. 

"Dance with me." He says holding out his hand. I sigh and place mine with his. "There's no music." I say. "Alexa, turn on a song." Brody says to my Alexa that I keep by my bed. Turning on A Song. Chasing Cars comes on. 

"Tonight, I needed a distraction to keep me from thinking about how utterly beautiful you looked tonight. 

"You're mine Rachel Tallben." He whispers.

"We'll see about that." I say back.

"I will follow you till the end of eternity. For all of infinity. " He says.

"Goodnight Rae." He says letting go.

Before I can respond he's out of my window.

The next day, everyone arrives at my house for breakfast. 

"So..." I say when both boys come up to me.

 "So how is this going to work?" Asks Brody. "Um, well, I don't know. I mean you guys will have to share me." I say laughing trying to break the ice.

"Ok, equal dates, equal times with her." Drew says. "Ok." Says Brody.

I'm in deep shit.
