The game starts out really well. We're against the Warriors again, but this time, we will win. We get the tip off and immediately score a 3 pointer. Soon the ball is stolen and the Warriors score a 3 as well.
While Noah is passing it in bounds to Brody, it's stolen by one of the Warriors and they make a lay up. The game is a heated battle. The Warriors are vicious. So far, two of their players have followed out and three of our teammates got pulled out because of injuries. I'm just worried that someone is going to get injured and won't be able to perform tomorrow.
By halftime, we're losing by 8. For this last basketball routine. Coach A let us do a Senior routine. It's were only the seniors perform as sort of a goodbye. We decided to go with a routine that starts out soft and all lyrical and then busts out into hip hop.
It's a really fun routine choreographed by of course, me. Afterwards, as we're getting off the court, I see the Warriors Dance Team giving me a smug look. I roll my eyes at them and go sit down in the front row to watch the rest of the game.
It was hard for our team to come back and catch up but we did it. It's a back and forth battle now. We score, then they score. Right now we're losing by 2 and we only have about 8 seconds left on the clock. It's our ball though so everyone behind us is quiet.
Noah rolls the ball in bounds. Once it gets to about half court, Brody picks it up. He sprints down the court juking out 2 of the Warriors. He's in Ultimate Beast Mode not letting anything get in his way.
There's 2 seconds left on the clock. He sets up his shot at the 3 point line. He shoots, and puts him fingers into an infinity sign and then the buzzer goes off. I'm holding my breath waiting to see where the ball goes.
"Swoosh." The ball goes in, all net. "And the Rangers for the Win!" Says the announcer.
Everyone is roaring and on their feet. Before I can comprehend what's happening,I'm running out onto the court and Brody runs up to me. He spins me into his arms and kisses me.
"You did it!" I say.
"I can't believe we just did that! I couldn't have done it without you." He says.
"Brody, that was all you on the court. You have such an amazing talent." I say.
All of a sudden, the others guys come running into us. We all fall onto the ground laughing.
"I love you guys." Says Noah.
"Aw we love you too." I say.
We all head out and everyone gets back to the hotel to wait for the other dancers to arrive into town. The guys and I are in my hotel room just chilling.
"Rae, you want to go out?" Asks Brody.
"Yeah what are we doing?" I ask.
"Dinner, maybe a walk on the beach. He says.
"That sounds like fun!" I say and quickly get ready.
All I have to do is put on a dress because my hair and makeup are already done. I decide on the dress that I just bought. The one that Noah picked out for me. The bus isn't going to pick up until about 3 in the morning which means we have until that time until we need to be ready. From there, the bus will take us all the way to State which is about 5 hours from where we are now.
We go to dinner to a fancy restaurant. As we're eating our meal a couple of high school girls come up to our table.
"Hi. You're Brody Daniels right?" They ask.
"Um, yeah I am." He says.
"We're really sorry that we interrupted your date, but could we get a picture?" They ask.
