Park Jimin
Yoongi's P.O.V.
As I walked out the restaurant, I took my phone out to check the time. I immediately noticed the missed calls from MinYoung.MinYoung left a few minutes before me, so she shouldn't be too far.
I knew something wasn't right, so I went through the contact list and tapped on her name revealing to me her location. She wasn't too far from here.
I started to walk as I placed the phone on my right ear and called MinYoung. It was ringing, but no one was answering. I tried a second time, but it just gave me the same result.
I crashed my eyebrows together and pulled the phone away from my ear.
Why wasn't she answering?
Just when I was about to call her a third time, I saw her small figure in the distance.
She wasn't alone.
A guy was there with his hands on her shoulders. The guy had orange mixed with brown colored hair. He was wearing a white shirt with ripped jeans that revealed a bit of his skin.
As I approached them, I saw MinYoung slowly backing away from the guy.
"I-I don't know you..." I heard MinYoung say.
Her hands seemed to tremble as one of them held on to her pink cased phone. She immediately opened it to go and call me, but the man held her wrist.
"What are you doing?" Asked the guy.
"C-Calling help."
As MinYoung placed her finger on the one button, the male pulled her wrist making her let go of her phone. The phone fell to the ground, but I wasn't sure if it was broken.
"My phone!" She yelled
"I'm not a bad person. MinYoung listen to me." Said the guy.
"N-No! Let go!! I don't know you!" Yelled MinYoung struggling to get out of the guy's grip.
I could tell he was holding on to her wrist tighter and tighter.
Not wanting to watch more of the scene, I ran my way there and punched the guy through the face with my fist. My knuckles hurt a little, but it was worth it.
"Yoongi!" Yelled MinYoung with tears in her eyes.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
MinYoung didn't say anything. She wrapped her arms around my torso and placed her head on my chest. I was bit taken aback by the sudden hug that I didn't know what to do.
"I thought you would never come..." she softly said.
I could tell she was trying not to stutter because of the way her voice was trembling a bit.
I don't know about her, but this hug was making me feel nervous. Was suddenly hugging people a casual thing for her?
"I'm still here." Said the guy as he wiped away the small amount of blood from the side of his bottom lip.
"What were you trying to do with her?" I asked as I glared at him.
"I don't know who you are, but I know MinYoung." Said the guy.
I didn't want to believe him, but I was able to tell he was telling the truth. The sparks in his eyes sparkled each time he glanced at MinYoung.
I let out a light sigh before turning to MinYoung.
"You can go home. I'll come later."
She nodded and picked her phone off the ground before walking away. I stared at her figure disappear before turning back to the guy with a glare.
"What do you want?"
"I've known MinYoung for years and I've never met you before. Who are you to talk to me like this?" Said the guy as he glared back at me.
"You have two minutes to prove you know MinYoung." I said as I crossed my arms.
The guy smirked and took his phone. He went through it for a few seconds before tapping on something. His obvious smirk turned into a soft smile as he lifted his phone and showed it to me.
There, I saw a picture projected on the phone. It was him with MinYoung. They were both smiling as their cheeks were stuck together. Her eyes were sparkling and her smile was captivating. I couldn't help but let a slight smile crawl up my lips as I stared at the picture. Unfortunately, my admiration didn't last long because the picture was taken away from my view.
"Believe me now?" Said the guy smirking.
I didn't say anything and stared at him with my cold looking eyes. My cold look didn't seem to scare him away so I let out a sigh of defeat.
"Fine, I believe you," I said sliding my hands in my pocket.
"Good, because I need explanations."
°°°
"Wait. Let me get this right. MinYoung was running and ended up in the middle of the street with some random men going after her?" I nodded at what he said. "And then you pushed her out of the street because a car was coming her way, but because of that, her head got hit on something and that caused her to forget her memories?"
"Yeah. I guess that's a shorter version of what I explained" I said as I leaned my back on the bench we were sitting on.
"My MinMin doesn't remember me!?" Yelled the guy as he stood up with a dramatic face.
Did he just call her MinMin?
"What did you call her?"
"MinMin. It's the nickname I gave her when I was younger" He said as he grinned.
"What are you guys anyway? Are you guys like...you know, a couple?" I asked hesitantly.
He laughed as he fell back on the bench.
"I wish. I cherish our friendship too much to give up on it. I know I'm not the right one for her. I'd rather be her best friend than her boyfriend." He said as he leaned his head back looking up at the dark sky.
I turned my head to look at him. I was able to tell that his words were sincere. He loved and cared for MinYoung, but he knew that being more than just friends could change everything.
I stood up and the guy repeated after me. I turned around and took my phone out.
"I'm going to need your help with MinYoung's memory, so it's better we stay in contact," I said handing my phone to him.
He nodded and took my phone. He tapped down different numbers before giving it back to me. I thanked him before turning my back on him.
Just when I was about to walk away, I remembered something and turned back to face him.
"I didn't get your name"
"It's Jimin. Park Jimin."
