Come on Hailey Orona. Get your stuff together. We do not fall in love with boys anymore because then they'll break your heart. Ugh. I just realized something. What if Alex thinks I like him now because of how I've been acting towards him. Oh no Hailey. We have to friend zone him a lot from now on. We don't want him thinking stuff that isn't true, do we now? No we don't. But like think of the possibilities. What if he does like me and I'll break his heart by friend zoning him? Well we're screwed. Let's just see how tomorrow goes.

• next morning •

I woke up like 5 mins before my alarm rang. Crazy stuff that never happens. I did my normal routine and literally ran out the door. I waited outside of Alex's house and surprisingly he actually came out. Okay you can do this hailey.

"Hi Alex." I say as we stand facing each other.

"Uh Hey Hailey." He says nervously.

"Why are you so nervous?" I ask.

"What? Me nervous? Nooo!" He replied.

"It's okay. It looks cute on you." I say.

Abort mission! I just said something that wasn't supposed to come out!

"Thanks." He says with a smile.

"Did I say that out loud?" I said nervously.

"Yeah you did." He says laughing.

Shoot. That wasn't supposed to happen.

The walk to school was basically quiet after that little awkward moment.

As I was putting some useless stuff in my locker, a girl that I've never talked to came to me and asked if I was dating. I replied.

"Uh no why?" I said confused.

"Oh, there's just been rumors." She said back.

"Yeah, but we're not dating." I say back.

• ring ring! •

Ugh that's the bell. I walk to my class and sit down.

•after class•

I see alex and walk towards him.

"Um Alex." I say.

"Oh hey." He says with a smile.

"Why did someone come up to me and ask if we were dating? " I ask him.

"I don't know, rumors?" He says back.

"Ugh whatever." I say walking away.

• after school•

"Today was not a really good day." I say as I walk through my front door and greet my mom and brother.

I walk up to my room not caring that I have homework to do.

A lot of people came up to me during lunch asking if I was dating Alex. How did this rumor come out of nowhere? But the question is, who made it up? Alex? Nahh. Desiree? Maybe. Wait! What if it's Desiree? Nah. She's one of my best friends I don't think she'd do that. Because she knows about how I don't like rumors or anything. What if she hates me for talking to alex a lot. Hopefully not. Because to be honest, I really like her as a friend and I don't really want to lose her as a friend.
