Next morning • Alex's POV •

I got up and did my normal routine. Brush teeth and get dressed and you know what else. Anyways, I didn't see my mom or anything so she had probably run off to the store. I waited outside Hailey's house for a few minutes just to see if she was coming or maybe she changed her mind. She ended up not coming out.

I walked to school by myself. I saw Hailey by her locker and asked if she was fine since she ignored my texts last night.

"Hey."

"Oh. Hey Alex." She says looking at me.

Her voice was emotionless.

"So whats up?"

"Uh nothing." She says looking away.

"So you just left me on read for no reason?" I chuckled.

"Yep." She says trying to walk away but I pull her by the waist and face her towards me. Causing us to be only a few inches away from each other.

"Alex! Let me go!" She says trying to get away from me but I keep her in my grip.

"Not before you tell me what's wrong." I say back.

• ring ring! •

Shit. That's the bell. I let go of Hailey and I run to my class.

• after school •

"You never told me what was wrong." I say catching up to her while she was walking home.

"Nothing alex. Just leave me alone." She replies.

"Hailey." I call her name.

"What." She responds back.

"You know you can tell me anything,
Right? " I say to her.

"Yeah sure." She says walking ahead of me.

Pretty much the whole walk home was awkward and I'm glad to be home.

Was she mad because I kissed Desiree? I mean it didn't really mean anything. Plus why is she even mad. Besides that, Doesn't Hailey like Joey? Like basically every other girl in the school.

Haileys POV •

I was just doing some homework when my phone dinged and I was expecting it to be Alex but it wasn't it was actually Joey.

Wow Joey likes me. I kinda feel bad because I only love him as a friend and hopefully it isn't awkward. I was gonna call Alex about what happened because that's why I normally do but then I realized what happened yesterday. I miss him but he doesn't even care. I've been hearing stuff from Alex's friends saying that Alex likes me. Nahh. Alex liking me? Nope. They just like to mess with him right? If he likes me then um I don't know. Would I like him back or would I not? Am I not aware of my own feelings? I mean why else was I so hurt and mad about Desiree kissing him.

Wait. Dumb me. I cant possibly like him. I was just mad because he didn't tell me about him and Desiree having something between each other.
