He loves me. Yes he LOVES me.

But what about Diego?

He's nice and everything but Alex is kinda like my childhood best friend. I've known him way longer than diego. I don't know. What should i say back? Because I'm not really sure about my feelings towards him. Yes, I like him. But I don't know if I love him. If I say I love you, I wouldn't really mean it at the time and I want to mean what I say towards him, but I might hurt his feelings and I don't want that. I think he'll appreciate it if I'm honest.

"Okay um Alex, I like you but I don't love you YET. I'm sorry." I say looking down at my hands and fidgeting with them.

"That's fine." His expression changed and I could tell he wasn't happy about it.

"I'm really sorry." I say.

"No, no it's okay. It's my fault for falling for my best friend." He says almost sounding like he wanted to cry.

"No, Alex. Don't cry. It hurts me to see you like this."

"I'm not gonna cry."

"So.. why did you fall for me?" I ask.

"I mean who wouldn't." He says laughing.

"You're so sweet alex." I say smiling at him.

"No problem. After all, you're literally like my favorite person." He said blushing.

"Aw you're so cute." I say smiling.

"Hailey you're so beautiful." He says looking at me.

"Oh geez thanks." I could feel my cheeks getting hot.

And that's when it happened.

He started leaning is and I knew what that meant. So I started leaning in too.

Yeah. We kissed.

We both pulled apart after like 5 seconds.

"Sorry hailey." He said looking nervous.

"No it's fine." I say back.

Wow my first kiss. It was with my best friend.

"So um I gotta go since my mom is probably wondering where I am." I say getting up.

"Well, bye Hailey." Alex says.

"Bye alex, see you tomorrow maybe?" I ask.

"For sure." He says as he smiles at me.

I walk home to my house and my mom was taking a nap on the living room couch and my little brother was watching Nickelodeon.

I walked upstairs and told Desiree all about my first kiss.
