Joey's POV
A whole week could go by so fast with no memories obtained during the course of the entire week. Meghan and I mainly just talked, just as we were now. It was Thursday now, 5 days after Meghan's recent trip to the hospital.
Nothing's changed, really, although she doesn't really open up when it comes talking about her sickness. Of course it was fun talking about YouTube videos we could make in the near future, or the food we would eat for dinner, or what movies we absolutely hated but it all conversations led back to that same exact question.
Will we ever do this again?
Will we ever make another YouTube video that would be broadcasted to all our subscribers so they would watch and laugh with us, together, Meghan and I? Will we every fight about whether we want Chinese or Thai for dinner, or sit together at the small dining room table and eat together, Meghan and I. Will we ever see another movie together, Meghan and I,and bicker about which parts we liked and which parts were dreadful?
As much as you try to ignore these questions, all the same question just in a different form, it just comes beating back like a violent, unstoppable drum. Each beat growing louder an louder until you just want to shut it out. But you can't, and that's the dilemma I face every single day.
"You wanna invite a couple friends over?" I asked, "just, to have some fun before our minds get washed away by the atmosphere of the hospital?" I laughed.
"Sure!" Meghan smiled, currently sitting on our bed with her laptop in front of her. "I have a few friends I can text" she smiled.
"Go for it!" I said as I grabbed my own phone, scrolling through my contacts list.

Meghan's POV
There were only about 10 people in the house at the moment, although more were expected to come. This was nice, finally getting to break out of my moody, depressed shell for a while and just throw myself out there. The soft ringing of the doorbell caught my attention as I excused myself from the rest of the so called 'party' to answer the door.
Sawyer stood at the doorstep holding a small cooler in his hands. "I brought the drinks!" He exclaimed, as I laughed and welcomed him in.
"Typical Saywer." I chuckled as he waved to Joey.
"You know it!" Sawyer said, leaning into me to give me a one armed hug as his other hand clutched the cooler. "How are you?" He asked, sincerely this time, I'm his raspy voice.
"I've been doing good." I put on a reassuring smile.
"Good." He replied before running off into the living room to greet other people.
Before long, drinks were being served and I had sat myself on the corner of the couch talking to Kalel and Jen. Drinks were passed out to each person, I grabbed a shot of tequila myself, promising myself it would be the only one for the night. Have fun, I said to myself, it might be your last chance. And with that, all the thoughts of death and last changes were washed away by cool, but sharp liquid running down my throat.
Joey's voice boomed from across the room as he laughed and I assumed he had quadruple the amount of drinks I had. He held an empty shot glass in his hand, waving it around obliviously as he talked. I stood up and walked over to where Joey stood with his group of friends. Among them I saw Cat, Sawyer, David, and Shane.
"Oh hey, Meghannn..." He slurred, turning to face me.
"Hi babe." I said, quieter than him.
"Want a drink?" He asked, motioning to his shot glass, then realizing it was empty.
"No, it's okay." I smiled.
"Then I'll have one!" He laughed an obnoxious laugh, walking over to the table unstably. I watched as his eyes shut while the sharp taste of liquor ran down his throat. I turned away, trusting him that his intoxication would not get out of hand as I skipped over to more of my friends, starting up a a conversation immediately.
"If you don't mind me asking," Kalel started, "how is Joey taking, you know, all of this?"
I gulped before answering, "I couldn't ask for more," I smiled, "he loves me and that's all that matter." I finished with an awkward half smile, receiving a dragged out "awwwwww" from Kalel.
"You know what, me and you need to go out to the park one day and just talk!" Kalel said, "like we used to! I'm not saying this is your fault or anything..." She trailed off.
"No no, I understand! And I'd love to, it'll be great getting out of the house!" I smiled. And hospital, I said to myself. Reminding myself that I would have to visit that dreaded place again tomorrow.
"Um I'll be right back!" I said to Kalel, touching her shoulder with the tips of my fingers before running up the stairs. I turned into my room and faced the fairly large bag sitting on my bed, contemplating what I should put in it. I had completely forgotten about the hospital tomorrow, which meant I needed to pack at least a little bit right now.
After about 10 minutes of wandering back and forth from my closet to my bag, I had prepared a descent collection of clothes suitable for my 3 day trip every week to the hospital. I ran down the stairs to join my friends once again, but first I turned to Joey.
"Could you please start to wrap up the party now." I said after getting Joey's attention. "It's getting pretty late and I have to go to the hospital tomorrow."
Joeys face twisted in confusion, clearly an over dramatization confusion due to the alcohol already in his system. "Hospital!?" He spoke loud again, startling me. I nodded slowly in reply, confused myself. "Why would you need to go to the hospital? You dying or something!?"
At this point, everyone who was talking to Joey before was now looking straight at were I pulled him away slightly from the rest of the group.
"Yes!" I said, not as loud as he was speaking, but loud. I was angry, how could he be so drunk he couldn't even remember one of the most important things in his life. I almost didn't believe it, "This isn't a joke, Joey." I said sternly.
I received a booming laugh from Joey in return. I stumbled back in pure astonishment, my eyes wide. By now, everyone had turned their heads to watch this crazy scene. I couldn't even hear the silence of our dead party from the ringing of shock in my ears.
"I think I'm gonna go now..." Kalel appeared in front of me, "Thanks so much for inviting me!" She smiled before leaning in to give me a tight hug that made me feel so much better. I had almost forgotten the whole situation with Joey.
As soon as Kalel stepped out from in front of me, lips crashed onto mine. And I mean literally crashed. It felt as if someone had tripped and just so happened to kiss me in the process. I recognized the familiar lips, but at the same time I didn't. Joey kissed me sloppily as a drunk person would. Slobber gathered on my upper lip and the taste of alcohol was strong in my mouth. I tried to pull away but immediately a strong hand was pressed against my back in protest, pushing me deeper in the kiss. Where I didn't want to be.
Within a couple seconds, I had done the unexpected. My mind thought to do it, but only as a last resort option. Before my mind could finalize wether it was going to notify the rest of my body of its decision, my body acted. Instantly, my hand burned in argument and a low scream and sharp inhale came from the man in front of me. I had slapped Joey.
