Meghan's POV

It had been raining for the past few hours, making the air all foggy and wet. With every step you felt the fabric of your pants stick to your leg even more. I was walking quickly, for no apparent reason. Maybe it was to just get everything over with as soon as possible. Which I knew would never happen. The sliding doors to the hospital opened before me, sending shivers down my spine as the sir conditioning blew the moist air out of the way.

It looked no different, this gloomy, depressing hospital. The same fake plants were placed around different rooms in attempt to over rule the depressing theme. The fluorescent lights still flickered faster than I could blink, giving me a headache when I looked up at the shimmer. The same ugly light blue scrubs to match the light blue theme of the hospital were being worn by the many patients in this busy hospital. It never changed, and never will.

I heard the familiar sound of wheels scratching against the hard floor coming towards me. I turned the direction of the sound and saw a mess of long ebony hair rushing towards me.

"Scarlett!" I called to her, surprised.

"Meghan!" She replied, after realizing where the strange voice that was calling her name came from. "How are you?" She asked.

"Um, the same, really. But yes I'm okay." I smiled, realizing how confusing I was being. I was confused, for that matter. My life had been turned upside down and inside out, completely flipped. My life was being tugged in every direction possible. The paths were endless: love, family, friends, hospital, life, and of course death. Everything pulled on my emotions and tore up my life. Every single day.

Joey had come back to my side, indicating that he had finished signing me in. I turned to him "I'm gonna go talk to Scarlett." He nodded on return as he waved his hands in front of him, letting us go.

"Yeah that's fine!" He said, "I'm gonna go do some shopping," he turned on his heel, looking behind his shoulder to wave at us before walking back out the doors we had just came in just a few minutes ago.

"So, where would you like to go Scarlett?"

"I have the perfect place," she said before scampering off down a hallway I had not been down before.

Joey's POV

The music was turned up exceptionally loud in my car in order to drain out all the mixed thoughts that swam in my brain. My head was about to explode from feeding of mixed emotions and tough situations (and partially from the headache of my hangover)

My life was slowly spinning deeper an deeper into a dark, emotionless hole and it was getting hard to hang on to the sides as my life spun out of control. Everything flew past me and if I didn't enjoy it for the moment it was there, it we gone. I was pressured to appreciate any moment thrown at me, and it was getting harder.

Bright colours dashed by me in the corner of my eye and I turned to look at it. There seemed to be a sort of flower festival going on near the town. A huge tent was set up filled with flowers of different colours, shapes, and sizes. They were so mesmerizing I had to turn my car around to see more.

When I entered the large tent, I saw flowers shipped from different countries and flowers that were rare in parts of the world. Every flower was unique in its own way. It made you realize that there are way more flowers in this world than what you see in a day to day basis.

One flower caught my eye. It wasn't one of bright, colourful flowers. Or the large, frilly flowers it. It didn't have anything special, or anything you would particularly get excited about. This flower is one you would pass by everts without even noticing.

It was a daisy.

Meghan's POV

Scarlett brought me into a small dark room. There was only one light that seemed to illuminate the desk area. It was a night light, so the rest of the room was dark.

I shifted around, unsure of why she had brought me here. "Um... Scrarlet-"

"Call me Scar," she interrupted, "it reminds me of the damage that pain leaves behind, even when all you're pain and suffering are over. There's still that scar, that trigger in your brain that reminds you, I went through that."

"Okay... Scar?" I corrected, "why are we in this particular room?"

The outline of her figure shrugged as my eyes adjusted to the dark before she said, "It kind of reminds me of death."

"Death?" I repeated, letting the word roll off my tongue like it was poisonous.

"Yeah, well not exactly."

"And you would know...?" I asked, wanting to here the reason for her strange answer.

"I've died twice." She answered bluntly, receiving a gasp from my own mouth. "I was brought back, and death does look like this, for the time I saw it. But it feels so much different."

"Oh yeah?" I asked, wanting to know more about this supposed feeling of death.

"Yeah.. It feels.... Comfortable, as weird as that sounds. It feels like floating, but being grounded at the whole time. You literally feel nothing, nothing at all. It's like everything was removed from inside your body and you're just hollow. No pain, no emotions, no sounds, just nothing." She went on, "and for sights, it looks like this. Dark. But there's that one light. That one passage that you wish you could take. Hope."
