The past to days have been fun Monday we arrived, drown proofed, did some safty stuff for rappeling then rappeled. Did some D&C, then hung out.
Yesterday, we did more rappeling I got over my fear of leaning back over the ledge, then we did rope bridge and we had two practices and then competed. I was team leader for 2nd platoons team. And I'm really proud of my team we put on our Swiss seats fast with out any mistakes. For the bridge part we they changed how we were tying up near side and that messed us up a but at the end but other than that minor hiccup we did really well and I am proud of them. We got to fly in a Chinook, afterwards; which was amazing. At one point we were flying and the the helicopter dropped suddenly and the feeling is like tickle bellies when you're going over hills fast in a car, but amplified. Like I was squirming and laughing my ass off. Lastly we did LRC but we didn't place and that's okay.
Today we are going hiking biking and Kayaking. And at noon I become the Platoon Seargent. And first for me is hiking. Land navigation was easy. SGM makes it sound so much harder than it is. Which for some people it might be. So basically he would say a degree and you would have to line up that degree on the compass and walk that way.and then you would find a board with a letter number combo. And I got super duper dehydrated so that was fun.
