Hi guys. Sorry for not updating. I had exams so I please hope you understand. I hope you're enjoying the story so far, for those of you who are enjoying it. This is my first fan fiction so I do hope you're enjoying it. Anyway, what am I blabbering on about? Enjoy the story.
Steve's POV
I was in the school training room hitting a punching bag. Out of all the stuff in this school, the gym and training room are the two things that I recognize. Hill and Romanoff were across the room having a sparring session. I still couldn't believe that Romanoff was going to start a fight with that girl. Coulson must care for the girl. The way he jumped in and stopped the issue from escalating any further. Reminds me of how Bucky used to do that for me. God, I miss Bucky. We'd get through this together. But he's gone. And I heard that Peggy was in a group called the Avengers. The team which we are all replacing. It didn't occur to me that I was hitting the punching bag so hard that it detached and flew across the room.
"What did the bag ever do to you, Cap?" Stark asked me. I have a strong feeling that Stark is a rule-bender. He was walking with Banner behind him, both clearly here to train.
"I'm sorry for him!" He shouted at me from How's far he was. This room is so big that you have to shout to the person across the room just so they can hear you. I'm not used to all this,
"You shouldn't be!" I shouted back. He followed Stark to where they put their boxing gloves on. I turned around and saw Coulson and Hawkeye walk in. Coulson is a nice guy. Principal Fury is really doing me a favour by assigning him to me. He gave me everything I needed. It was fun hanging out with him and Barton. I wish Bucky were here. Argh! There I go again thnking about Bucky.
"Don't worry about that, Cap. The school has money to replace it," Coulson reassured me.
"It's not the bag that bothers me," I told him.
"You'll get used to it, Cap," Barton told me but I'm doubting myself at this point.
"Will I, Barton?" I asked him.
"You will Cap. Just don't trust Stark. He'll trick your into doing something... stupid," Coulson said. I couldn't help but smile. He sure knew how to reassure a man. "But on a serious note, Stark has a good heart. He's just... well... Stark," Coulson is right. I knew his father after all so the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I'm determined to build trust between me and everyone. Hopefully be friends with everybody too.
"Okay, I'm gonna go hit some bullseyes, you guys don't go too far," Hawkeye said as he picked up a mordernized bow and arrows and left for the archery room. God, they even mordenized weapons like the bow and arrow.
"So you and May... uhh... is she your love?" I asked Coulson. I feel so stupid for asking that! Stupid Steve! I have no right to pry into his life. "Of course you don't have to tell me..."
"No, no," he laughed. "May is my closest friend here so I've been watching out for her ever since... well... a turn in her life. Now I'm basically her only friend because everyone else is afraid of her," I understand how that's like. Having only one friend. Coulson is to May what Bucky was to me. I had more in common with this girl than I thought. I broke out of my trail of thought when I saw Hill and Romanoff walk up to us.
"So, you show him how to use a vending machine yet?" Romanoff asked Coulson whilst cracking a smile.
"Turns out its the one thing I haven't showed him yet," Coulson jokingly answered. What's a vending machine?
"Then best get started, Coulson," Stark walked up to us. "How are we doing today, ladies?" Banner was walking behind him and they stood next to me. I assume their boxing session is done. I had heard about Iron Man from Principal Fury but I didn't know he acted so much like a child.
"Trying out best not to punch you, Stark," Hill replied. This is getting too crazy now. The hate that everybody has for each other in this room is unbelievable. Why would Fury do this? Why would he put together a team of superpowered kids who have nothing in common? And make them a team much less? I have to make everybody like each other somehow. At least then we can work together on the battlefield.
"How about we all have lunch together? To bond," I spoke up.
"I'm down for it, Cap," Coulson answered. What does being 'down' mean? I didn't realize that I was giving him a confused look.
"He means he's in," Romanoff answered. Oh.
"I'm in too, Capsicle," Stark put his arm around my shoulders. "I mean, it's about time the two greatest heroes in the world got to know each other, am I right? Bruce, bud, you coming?"
"Sure thing," Bruce answered.
"And, ladies? You coming?" Coulson asked the girls.
"Sorry boys. I made a promise to someone and I gotta make up for my bad deed," Romanoff smiled. Hill nodded in agreement.
"Well then, we better not leave Clint behind," Coulson said. He went to the archery room to get Barton.
Phil came back with Hawkeye and that's when me, Coulson, Stark, Banner and Banner made our way to the eating room. I forgot what they call it.
