Before I begin, I just want to give a huge shoutout to Sosoprincess101 for helping me with ideas with this story! Go check out her stories! One of them is a Tony's daughter fanfic! Thanks for reading! Go check her out now!
Pepper stayed with me for the rest of the day. I was too afraid to go outside of my room. Too afraid that he knew where I was and that he was watching me.
Peter and Tony kept checking on me. They brought me food and different things to try to cheer me up. Even though I kept asking what they were doing, they would always change the subject.
But the day slowly passed. So did the week. I refused to leave my room. But the text didn't stop either. They kept coming. But it did seem like he didn't know where i was.
It took me two, almost three weeks to get out of my room. And almost two months to step outside. But after about four months, i was able to be outside without the feeling of being watched by him. Of course, I always feel like someone is watching me, but who doesn't get that feeling?
School was out so I didn't have to deal with that. I was still going to go into Sophomore year with Peter. I was nervous about it because now I'm behind everyone in a few things.
But I was in my room reading a book for fun when Tony walked into my room.
"What's up?" I said, putting a bookmark in my book and closing it, setting it next to me. He sat down next to me and took my hands. I looked at him confused. "Dad, what's wrong?"
"Libby." He sighed, "I know that all of this, the move, learning that I'm your dad, living in fear, all of this is stressing you out. And that this is a whole new world for you, but I want you to know that I'm here for you. And I always will be. And I will do anything, within reason for you."
"Thanks dad." I smiled.
He smiled back. "I can't believe how much you've grown. You were barely two and a half feet tall and now your over five feet and way older than two."
"Ha, yeah. That's how aging works. Unfortunately. What even happened all those years ago?"
"You were kidnapped and we were distracted. Someone came to the door and we left you in the living room and someone took you in those few minutes. We never gave up looking for you. But we couldn't find anyone that fit your description. We put up missing signs and it was on the news. Yet, it seemed like you had just... vanished." We were both quiet for a few minutes.
"He never let me have social media. He didn't even let me have a phone until a few years ago. And even then he supervised each game. He never did a blood scan when I went to the hospital. It's almost like he avoided anything to show people who my real parents are. I mean, I had a feeling that I was adopted. Because he never talked about my mom, never even mentioned there was a mom at all. He didn't have any pictures of me when I was younger than three. And I don't look anything like him."
"Why were you in the hospital?"
"Because he beat me up and then the kids at school beat me up and he never thought it was him who did most of the damage."
"That asshole. I'm going to kick his ass when I see him."
I stayed quiet. I knew there was no way I was going to stop him. No way at all. Not even if I tied him to a chair with the strongest rope and tape and chains. Even if I cut all his limbs off. Not that I would do either one. But still.
"But do you want to go on a small trip? Just you, Pepper, Peter and I?"
"Sure. Where to?"
"Wherever you want."
"So we can go to Ireland and England?!"
"If you wanted to."
"Awesome!"
He laughed at my excitement. "Alright. So Ireland and England? Okay. I'll tell the others and we can plan tonight at dinner. I'm taking all four of us to a restaurant. Dress fancy."
"What's the occasion?"
"It's your true birthday."
What?! But, I thought my birthday is on December 24. So does that mean....
"How old am I then?"
"Your actually supposed to be a grade younger than what you are in. Your 14. I don't know what that prick of a person did, but your supposed to be going into your freshman year. Not your sophomore year."
"O-okay. That's... that's kinda cool. I guess."
"What did he say your birthday was?"
"December 24."
"Really? That's probably why. Well, you have the choice then. You can just stay home for a whole year, or you can redo the year."
"Redo the year. I didn't get the grades I wanted."
"Alright. Well, I'll leave you be. I'll tell Peter and Pepper."
"Okay."
