Peter's POV
After we got home, I went in the lab and Mr Stark followed. He had no idea what I was going to do. I was going to be super cheesy with this."Do you have clear tape down here Mr Stark?" I asked.
I bought everything except that. Tape.
"Sure do kid. What are you even doing?"
"It's something I found on the internet. And something May did for me one year for my birthday."
I unscrewed the jars and opened each bag of candy.
"Can you help me?"
"Sure. What do I do?"
"Pour each bag of candy in each jar. Only one type of candy per jar."
"Alright."
I had gotten peanut m&ms, starburst, Hershey kisses, snickers, gummy worms and bears, nerds, Swedish fish and Reese's pieces. And honestly, I found these ideas on Pinterest with Pepper. Because I was going to do them intime for Christmas, not now. Luckily I already had one done, or close to it. May did that one for me for my 11th birthday. I put a cheesy quote to match each candy and taped it to each jar. Then I cut the other pieces of paper into smaller pieces. Until I had 258 of them.
"Now I need you to help me fill these in. Orange is a memory you want her to remember, but I'll do most of those. Pink is reasons you love her. And the green is for a random thing you want."
We started writing the long last few.
"So how many are going to be in this lady's jar?" Tony asked.
"365."
"And you filled the other papers all by yourself?"
"Well, no. Pepper helped me. I told her about this and she told me to wait on asking you for some reason."
"Yeah. I'm pretty bad at keeping secrets like this for a while." He laughed.
About ten minutes later, both of our hands hurt from writing so much. But we had finished. I took most of the Orange paper and he took most of the green paper and we both split the pink papers.
I had him put his name on another one. I had and so did Pepper so she could distinguish the difference between all three of our handwritings. Tony went upstairs and got a box that I could fit all of the jars in. I had 11 jars, two of them was for the whole paper thing. She would read one per day and put it in the other jar and just keep rotating between the two. The last two was going to take the space of three jars total laying down so I could close the box all the way.
"So, What are you getting her?" I asked Tony.
He had gotten more boxes, each one getting smaller and smaller. He pulled out a small box that filled his hand. He opened it up and there was a bracelet.
"She's gonna love it." I smiled at him.
"I hope so. Do you know what Pepper's giving her?" I shook my head. "She won't tell me."
"She won't tell me either. I've asked around and no one else does. And they're all giving her their present. When we get home."
I had texted everyone while we were going to and from the store.
Tony had closed the small box and put it in another box, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another, and another. I laughed at how many boxes he used.
"You know how in movies they have those boxes with two ribbons going around the box?" He asked looking at the box.
"Yeah But I don't know how they do it."
"Let's try."
So we did. And it ended up pretty well. And so we took our boxes and put them in the back of the car that we were taking. We had to secure my box to make sure it didn't move around a lot and break the glass.
Once done, we went upstairs and got ready. I hope she likes my gifts. She said she likes a lot of different types of candy, not really chocolate though. She likes candies like starburst and those other kinds that I bought. She said chocolate is the least type of food she'd eat if she was really moody. I've noticed it a lot. Cause when she stayed in her room for eternity so it feels like, I got her chocolates and gummy foods and she ate the gummy foods faster than the chocolates. So I gave her the gummy, more better candy. She also said the only exception of chocolate she would take is brownies. Brownies, starburst, gummy worms and ice cream are her top four favorite foods. Which means May made the right decision on making her brownies.
May is coming back tomorrow and I can't wait to see her again. She's the closest blood relative I have left. And I hope I don't loose her anytime soon.
I knocked softly on the wall to make sure I didn't just jinks myself.
