Libby's POV
Peter gave me his box first. I would've dropped it if he didn't hold it as well.

"What's in here Peter? An animal?"

"Just open it!" He said excitedly.

I slowly opened the box. I hope something doesn't jump out at me. Nope. A bunch of jars. Okaaaay. Weird. I pulled out a random one. It was filled with nerds. On it said "you probably think I'm a huge nerd (well.... I'm am)". I shook my head laughing.

The table had been cleared by the time I had received his gift, so I started pulling them out and setting them on the table.

"What do they say? You gotta read them!" Dad said.

"Fine!"

I grabbed the ones that had m&ms in it. "I am nuts about you." I grabbed the kisses one, "Kisses for when I can't be around you." I grabbed the gummy worms, "I'm pretty hooked on you." The starburst said "baby you make my heart burst." Everyone laughed at that one. Peter did to, but he turned pretty red. The Swedish fish one said "you're my fave fish in the sea." The Reese's pieces said "I adore you to pieces." The gummy bear one said "life without you would be unbearable." The snickers said "I know your snickering at how silly these are." And you know what the nerds said. "You probably think I'm a huge nerd, well I am."

We all laughed at how cheesy these were. I pulled out the last two jars. Each one of them said the same thing.

"How it works. Inside this jar you will find three hundred and sixty five notes to read each morning every year starting tomorrow. Rules, one a day no cheating. Remember when is on orange, reasons I love you is on pink, random is on green."

"When you've read one, you put it in the other jar."

"Aw, thanks Peter!" I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck and he gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I carefully put the jars in the box, reading each one before I put them away. Then mom gave me hers. It was lighter than usual. I opened it and it read, "use the tack to pop each ballon. A surprise is waiting in each one for you." I looked at her with a confused face.

"Pop one right now." She said.

"Okay."

I grabbed the tack that was pushed into the foam at the bottom of the box. I stabbed one of the ballons. There was 12 of them. But in this one, there was a ring and a quote.

"Even though I wasn't there for the big times, doesn't mean I won't be here for the bigger times." I read aloud.

"That ring has been passed down generation to generation. And it's always passed down to the firstborn daughter on her 14th birthday."

"That's pretty cool." I smiled.

I slid it on my middle finger on my right hand.

"Thanks mom."

"Only pop one ballon per month."

"Okay."

"Now is mine."

Peter tried to hide a laugh. Peter and Tony shared a Look.

"Should I be scared?"

"No." They both said.

I cautiously opened the box. There was another box. I already knew where this was going. I gave dad a glare. But not a mean one. I opened each box until there was one marked in a gold lettering. I pulled it out and opened it, hoping it was the last one. And it was. There was a silver bracelet. And a small paragraph.

"Libby, my little girl yesterday, my friend today, my daughter forever. Thanks dad." I slid on the bracelet. "But honestly, you guys didn't have to give me all of this."

"Well we did and that's that. No buts about it." Mom said.

"Okay, okay."

We all laughed and left. I made sure I didn't leave anything that I wanted.
