Finding A Way Out 🗡️ [THE MAZE RUNNER FANFICTION]

The very beginning

I awoke to a sudden jerk only to see nothing but darkness. I felt like throwing up. But that was not an option.

"Help!" I yelled out.

'"Someone help me!" I kept on yelling.

I began banging on the gates of this cube I was stuck in. Nothing worked I was moving up. Up somewhere.

Something felt weird inside the jacket I had on. I put my hands in my jacket pocket. I felt like a syringe.

"Keep it. It's used to help heal someone who has been stung by a Griever. Use it so you can survive. Only use it on yourself. I love you."

My throat began aching due to all the screaming my hands had a few cuts on it but I didn't care I wanted to get out of here.

"Good job." A voice said.

"24681097531" remember that voice said

"Do us proud." The voice said.

"Help them." The voice said

"Don't fall for them." Another voice said but it was more husky, a man's voice.

"Remember WICKED is good." The first voice said.

"Repeat it." The second voice said.

I sat down thinking I was going crazy. I did as the voices had told me.
Soon my eyes shut and everything went black.

"There's something on the ground." Someone said.

"It's a girl." A boys voice said closer then the other voices.

"She's the last you'll ever get." The boy read.

"Why would the creators send us a girl?" Another voice said.

"Why isn't she awake yet?" Another asked.

"Maybe they made a mistake." Another said.

"Or maybe they can't tell girl from a boy." Another said.

They all laughed.

"Or maybe there's a much more important reason." Another said seriously.

Everything was quiet.

Soon I felt a rush of coldness fall over me. I shot awake. Only to see myself surrounded by boys.

They were all from different race and were different height and different ages.

"Let me help you." A guy said.

I looked at him, scared.

I climbed out of the cube I was stuck in my own self using no help what-so-ever.

"Wow this one is quite independent." A boy said he looked Mexian.

I looked at my surroundings. I ran to the openings of the maze.

"Looks like we have a new runner." A boy yelled

Halfway to the openings I stopped I fell onto my knees. No,no,no,no,no. I'm in the maze.

This is all I knew. This made me scared.

"Or not." The same boy said.

They all surrounded me. I stood up and grabbed someone's shirt which I have to say was dirty but that's not that mattered.

"W...w..where am.. I?" I said.

"Let me be the first to say. Welcome to the maze." A boy with dirty blond hair said.

"I know where I am dimwit." I said. Anger dripped from every word that came from my mouth.

"GET ME OUT OF HERE!" I yelled at this boy.

"This chick is mentally crazy." One boy yelled he had a spatula in his hand.

"Oh shut your trap." I said.

"Enough!" A guy yelled. Everyone was quiet.

"W..w...we have to get..o..out of the maze." I stuttered.

"Yes, we are trying to do that everyday. Med-jacks I need your assistance." The guy half yelled.

Then two guys showed up.

The guy whispered something to the two guys who just showed up.
I looked at my surroundings. Is there a way out of this place.

"Follow us." One of the two guys said.

I followed them.

"So what's your name?" One of the guys asked.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"The first day I couldn't remember my Name either so don't worry. I'm Mikey." The guys said who asked me the question.

"I'm Roax." Said the other guy.

They escorted me into a hut. Where they told me to have a seat on one of the beds that the hut had.

Roax kept me company and Mikey disappeared.

"So you the first girl, congratulations." Roax said.

"Congratulations? I was thinking more of the lines of 'Welcome to the end of your life." I said

Roax smiled.

Suddenly I felt a prick in my neck. I turned around to find Mikey standing there with an empty needle.

Suddenly my eyes began to feel heavy. I lost the feeling of my body. My eyes closed and I felt calm as darkness consumed me.
