"Olivia Shepherd!" I groaned as the covers were pulled from my freezing body. "Do you have any clue what time it is?"

I squinted my eyes to stare at my fuming mother. Her brown hair was tied into a bun that sat atop her head. Her dark eyes challenged mine.

"Can I please stay home today?" I put on my best sick face. I reached for the covers but she pulled them back.

"Get dressed, you should be out the door in ten minutes." When I didn't make an effort to leave my bed she sent me a stare that got me leaping from my comfortable and warm bed to my bathroom.

One thing about me is that I'm not a morning person. I actually despised people who loved mornings. Mornings are literally the worst time of the day.

I pulled my hair into a neat ponytail and brushed my teeth. As I was brushing my teeth to get rid of the morning breath, I stared at myself.

I had striking blue eyes, whereas my mother had dark brown eyes. I guessed I got my blue eyes from my father whom I've never seen let alone met.

Mom said her and my father were very much in love when she got pregnant before he cheated on her with another woman days before her delivery date. She instantly fled as that was not the sort of father she wanted me to have.

I can understand my mother's pain. I understand her choice of leaving him, I wouldn't want a man like that either.

I finished putting my school uniform and raced downstairs. Grabbing my school bag and an apple from the fruit bowl that was placed on the kitchen counter I raced towards the front door.

"Bye mom!" I yelled as I slammed the door shut and hurriedly walked along the path, keeping my face hidden from the harsh London wind.

As I arrived at my school I noticed something that was quite out of the ordinary, a black vehicle was black tinted windows was parked a few meters from the front gates.

Ignoring it I walked up the steps and entered the main office. My mother sacrificed everything to send me to a private school. Not just any, a leading school in United Kingdom.

"Olivia, this is your 3rd time being late to school this past week."

"I kissed Tom, biggest mistake ever." Grace groaned. Biting into her apple, "he nearly sucked my lips off. I had to brush my teeth five times because he ate a tuna sandwich before kissing me."

I scrunched my nose in disgust as I waited for the bus along with Grace who was getting picked up.

Grace has been my closest friend since I could remember.

She had a very outgoing personality, her blonde hair and green eyes gained her quite the attention from the boys at school. Her long legs helped too.

A Porsche pulled up, the window rolled down revealing Grace's mother. "Hey Liv!" She smiled at me, Grace's mother Pauline was like a second mother to me. "Waiting for the bus darling?" When I nodded she offered to drop me off.

"No thank you Pauline," I gently shook my head. "I have to get my hair down anyway, might as well catch the bus." I lied. Grace and Pauline were in a fight about the boys Grace is dating and I really don't want to be in that tension for twenty minutes.

"Bye babe," Grace kissed my cheek and got inside her car.

It was late now. Far too late to still be standing in front of the school waiting for a bus that doesn't seem to be coming.

I pulled my phone out and dialed my mom. It instantly went into her voice message. Groaning I left her one, "hey mom, I'm still at school. Any chance you can pick me up on the way home from work?"

Mom worked as a nurse, she was always busy and barely had time off from work. It was no surprise when I got a text saying 'can't love, still at work. Just walk.'

I grumpily stuffed my phone into my pocket and bent down to pick my heavy school bag. Suddenly a cloth wrapped around my face and I was pressed against a hard body.

"Mm!!" I tried to scream. My hands flew up to try and get the cloth from blocking my airway, but it was too late. I had already consumed enough of whatever drug it was to pass me out.

I limped back and my head fell back against the strangers chest. The last thing I remembered were the green eyes I passed out to.
