Sam's P.O.V.

Before long I was standing at Harry's door. He opened the door.

"Hey." I said coming in. I gave him a quick peck on the cheek as I went by him. He closed the door. I took my coat and boots off setting them aside then I went and sat on the edge of his bed.

"It's going to be fine." He said.

"I wish I could be as positive as you, Harry. But I know my Dad he's not going to take it well. I just know it." I replied. He sat down next to me.

"I keep playing different scenarios over and over in my head hoping to come up with a good conclusion but I keep coming up with the same bad ones. I'm scared, Harry. I'm scared he's going to push you away." He exhaled.

"I love you and no matter what happens that will not change. We'll respect your Dad's decision. If I have to wait for you, I will."

"I don't want to wait, Harry." I replied.

"I know but I don't want to cause a strain between you and your Dad. After my Mum and Dad got divorced, I didn't have a great relationship with my Dad. It hurt a lot not being close with him and I don't want that to happen to you." That was the first time he ever mentioned his parents divorce to me. I could see it still affected him.

"When do you want to tell him?"

"Sometime today. I don't know." I replied.

"Also I think it would be a little bit easier if you weren't there." I added.

"I'm going to have to face your Dad eventually."

"I know I just think it'll be easier if it's just me and him when I tell him." I replied falling back against the bed.

"Dating is hard." I said.

"It can be sometimes." He replied laying down on his side next to me.

"After he knows, he probably won't let me come to your hotel room anymore." I said turning my head to look at him.

"Then we should probably enjoy it, yeah?"

"That sounds so wrong."

"It's only wrong because you have a dirty mind." He replied.

"I have a dirty mind, really, Harold?"

"Yes, really, Samantha."

"Just shut up and kiss me, Styles."

One hour later...

"Hey John! I'm back." I said closing the door. After, Harry and I kissed a little and talked some more I left so I could come back and spend sometime with my brother.

"Hey! Thanks for leaving a post it note on my forehead."

"You're welcome. I didn't want you to worry about me so I left a note telling you where I was going. I wasn't sure where to put it so I thought...why not put it on your forehead?" I replied taking my boots off.

"How's lover boy?" He said making me shake my head.

"He's fine. Have you heard from Mom and Dad?" I replied.

"No."

"Jeez, where did they go to breakfast? Philly?" I said setting my coat on the dining room chair.

"Speak of the devil." He said as Dad's truck came rolling into the driveway.

"You alright?" He asked as I unlocked the door for them.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I replied.

"Good Morning, sleepy heads." Mom said coming in.

"Morning." We replied.

"Hey, you two are up how about shoveling and salting the sidewalk." Dad said as he came in.

"You know I would but I was just going to get ready to meet some friends. Sam would love to help you though." He said walking away. Seriously?

"Slip your coat and boots on, Sam." Ugh!

Ten minutes later...

My Dad and I were out shoveling the sidewalk while my freaking brother was inside doing who knows what. I'm so getting him back.

"You like having your brother here?" Dad asked.

"I did until about ten minutes ago." I replied.

"What were you guys up to this morning?"

"Not much." I replied. Then guilt hit me. I started feeling terrible about keeping this from him.

"If you're getting cold you can go in. I'll finish up." He said.

"It's not that, Dad. I need to tell you something."

Harry's P.O.V.

It's almost noon. Sam should have been home by now. I texted her a couple times and still no reply which is odd because she's usually pretty good on texting right back. I hope she's okay. I know she's real worried about telling her Dad. I really want to be there when she tells him but she was very adamant about telling him on her own. I should have fought her about it but she's so stubborn.

'Ding'

I picked up my phone. It's not her. I answered the text then set my phone back down. I admire her stubbornness though because it makes her incredibly driven. She never gives up on anything and she always gives it her all. That's something I love about her.

'Ding'

I picked up my phone...not her.

Sam's P.O.V.

That was definitely not one of the scenarios I played in my head. After I told him, my mom came out to tell him that his boss called. They want him to come into work. First, his daughter tells him she's dating an older man then his boss calls and tells him to come into work on a Saturday. What was the next punch to the gut? He told me to finish salting the sidewalk then he went inside to get ready. He came out a few minutes later with his big thermos of coffee and an angry look on his face that could scare a shark away. I did the safest thing and kept my mouth shut. I know when he comes home I'll be getting an ear full.

"He seemed p****d off." John said coming outside. He stood next to me as we watched Dad leave.

"I just told him I'm dating Harry." I replied. He chuckled.

"What?"

"You just told him you're dating Harry now he has to go in to work. You are so getting it when he comes home." One things for sure I better make myself scarce when he comes home. I wonder what France is like this time of year. John left to go meet his friends and I went in to warm up. Mom had some hot chocolate waiting for me on the kitchen island. It was next to my phone. I turned my phone on to see a few messages from Harry. Dang it! I forgot to text him that I made it home okay. I dialed his number.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm sorry I forgot to text you." I replied.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I told my Dad."

"Oh...how did it go?" He asked.

"Not so good. Right after I told him his boss called him into work. He didn't really have much time to say anything after I told him so I'll be getting an ear full from him when he comes home. That's for sure." I replied.

"Do you want me to come over?" Yes...

"No, it will just add more fuel to the fire." I replied.

"Like I said earlier I'm going to have to face your father eventually."

"I know. Just not right now." I replied.

"I have to go. I'll talk to you later." I said.

"Alright. I love you."

"I love you." I replied before hanging up and dropping my phone on the table. I leaned down resting my elbows on the island covering my face with my hands.
