~Chloe's POV~
I can't remember exactly what happened yesterday. I remember waking up in Peter's arms and he carried me back to bed. I woke up this morning and Peter was sleeping in an extra bed my dad must have put in.
I looked around the room. Everything was broken. There was dust and ruble on the floor along with a shattered window.
After a few minutes of laying there thinking, I decided to stand up. I moaned in pain and Peter shot up.
"No no no." He said gently laying me back down.
"Come on Peter. Just let me go."
"Your Dad wants to run some tests before you go." I sighed in anger. "Fine."After a little while, my dad walked in. I sat up too quickly and my head began to spin.
"Whoa..."
"You okay sweetheart?"
"Yeah Dad. Just sat up too quickly." I looked at him hesitantly then continued on. He handed me on crutch. Not a pair of crutches, just the one.
"I want to show you something." He said smiling. He helped me up and Peter came around and held onto my waist as my Dad walked out in front. Peter and I slowly made our way down to my dad's lab. I saw most of the team in there. Odd...There was a blue sheet over something on one of the desks. Bruce was smiling from ear to ear. Several of the Avengers had there phones out.
"What the hell is going on?" I said with a confused look. Peter helped me to a seat and they wheeled the desk around. I heard a few of the team members hit record before Bruce began to talk.
"So, Chloe. We know that these past couple of months have been extremely rough. About a week after your accident, your dad had an idea. With the help of me, and Bucky," I looked over and saw Bucky begin to smile. "We made you something."My dad walked over and knelt down in front of me. He grabbed my head and kissed my forehead. "I wanted to make something that I knew would help you. Both at school and on the Battle field." He said smiling. "Peter?"
"Yeah Mr. Stark?"
"Will you take of the sheet please?"
"Sure thing." Peter said. He ran over and quickly took it off. It showed a metal arm.
(I know this looks weird but just go with it😂)I immediately began to cry. Everyone went quiet thinking I hated it.
"Are you alright Love?" Peter asked. I nodded. "Do you like it?"
"I love it Dad. Thank you so much." I cried as I fell into his arms. Everyone clapped and cheered. Bruce walked over and picked it up. He came back over and, with the help of my dad, put on my new arm.
"It might take a little while to get used to but-"
I wasn't listening. I was already able to move the fingers, bend the wrist. It just came naturally.
"I guess not. Well Bucky has volunteered to help you train with it. There are a few things you can do with it but I'll show you those later." My dad said. After a few minutes of talking, everyone cleared out. Except for Dad, Bruce, Peter, and me. My dad walked over.
"If you press the button right under your shoulder, you'll see a surprise." I pressed it and my arm began to change. It looked just like my regular arm. I began to cry again. "How did you do this?"
"Let's just say, your actual arm came in handy." Bruce said smiling. "But Chloe. I would like to run some tests. I want to know what happened yesterday. It wasn't normal."
"None of this is normal." I said smiling.
"My daughter has a point." My dad said raising an eyebrow. Bruce rolled his eyes and ushered Peter to leave.
"I'll see you later." He said, giving me a kiss on the cheek before leaving.Once he was gone, my dad walked over. He was carrying something doctors usually have. Needles. Have I ever mentioned, I'm afraid of needles? Well I am.
"Can we get Peter back in here?" I pleaded after taking one look at the big needle.
"No. This isn't something he should know. The rest of the team doesn't even know what happened yesterday." I nodded in agreement.
"Hey Bruce, can you give me a hand?"
"Sure thing boss." Bruce walked over and grabbed my hand. As the needle entered my skin, I squeezed harder.
"Owww!" Bruce yelled. "Shit!" He yelled again.
"What happened?" My dad asked as I began to laugh.
"I grabbed the wrong hand." He said still holding onto his own hand.
"At least we know in works." My dad assured him. After several minutes of sitting in my dad's lab in silence, a small beep rang through the room. My dad touched the screen and made it into a hologram. He began moving things around and inspecting them. That's when his eyes went wide.
"What's wrong Tony?" Bruce asked.
"It's Chloe."
"What's wrong with me?" I asked hesitantly.
"Nothing is wrong. It's better. Better than you've ever been."
"And what is that supposed to mean?" I questioned.
"You must have come in contact with some power source. This may have caused your brain to somewhat reprogram."
"And in other words Dad?" He looked at me smiling, "you have powers." My eyes went wide and my mouth hung open.
"I-I have powers? What's kind?"
"It looks like things that involve the brain. Such as telepathy, telekinesis, you could even fly. And there are a lot more." He said flipping through the hologram.
"I think that once you are healed, we can work on trying to figure out your powers." My dad assured. Without any hesitation, I grabbed my crutch and hobbled over to my dad. I wrapped my arms (my regular and new) around his torso.
"Thank you." I said trying not to cry.
"For what?"
"Everything..." I could fell him kiss the top of my head.
"Anything for my baby girl."__________________
