{Nine} The Scientist

The break-in happened at Queen Consolidated, Oliver had called Bella to tell her what had happened because Wayne Enterprise was going to be there partner soon. Bella made it there and see all the police already there waiting for them. As she walks inside she saw the giant door on the ground.

"This door was made of expanded reinforced titanium," Diggle said and gets up from looking at the door. "What did they use to do that?" Diggle asks Lance, Quentin walks to John.

"We're not sure yet, no signs of any explosives. Maybe a crane or a forklift. I'm guessing there was three maybe four given how quick they got out of here. They were fast," Quentin tells John. "Any idea what these guys were so hot to break in here for?" Lance asks Oliver. "You didn't happen to leave a spare earthquake machine lying around, did you?" Quentin asks him, Oliver gave him a look. "Sorry," Lance says to him.

"This is what we're able to pull off the security cameras," They hear someone behind them, they all turn to see the tech guy from the police station. He holds out the tablet to us, pressing play. There's only one guy there, and he then throws something at the camera. "He was the only guy we got on video. The rest of the crew must have come in after him" he tells them.

"Actually, there was only one guy," they hear someone say from behind them. They look over and see a young good looking guy standing there. "Ah, sorry I'm late. But actually, my train was late. Well, the second one" he says as he walks towards them. "The first one I did miss, but that was the cab driver's fault. I've got this great traffic app, and... He thought that he was right. But I'm here now, thought so" he blabbers out. This made Bella smile knowing how flustered he may be right now.

"Great. Who the hell are you?" Lance asks him.

"And do your parents know that you're here?" Oliver asks him.

"I'm Barry Allen, I'm from the Central City police department. I'm with the crime scene investigation unit" Barry says holding up his badge showing them. "We're working on a case with some similar unexplained elements in Central City, so when the report of your robbery came over the wire, my captain sent me up here," he says, Barry looks up then smiles at Bella and she smiled back at him. "Wow, you're even more beautiful in person," Barry said out of the blue to Bella making her blush a little bit. Which made Oliver glare at him.

"And you think one guy just ripped through this door like it was tin foil?" Lance asks him, Barry looks to Lance and nods.

"One very strong guy, yeah. Uh, it takes about 1,250 foot-pounds of torque to break someone's neck," Barry says, showing them a picture of the now dead guard. "You see the marks on the guard's neck? The pattern suggests the killer used only one hand. I'm guessing you don't know how hard it is to break someone's neck" Barry says, Oliver.

"No, no idea," Oliver said.

"Uh, we're going to need a list of the entire inventory here to figure out exactly was stolen," the tech guy says to Oliver.

"Actually, I think I know what was stolen. A centrifuge. An industrial centrifuge. Probably the Kord Enterprises 2BK 900," Barry said walking off as they followed her. "Maybe the six series. Both have a three column base" he tells them as they walk to where this centrifuge must have been and stand around it. "Here, you can see the three sets of broken bolts where the thief just...ripped it out of the ground."

"And what exactly is a centrifuge?" Lance asks him.

"It separates liquids. Then centripetal acceleration causes denser substances to separate out along the radial direction" Felicity tells him.

"And lighter objects move to the top" Barry finishes it off for her, Felicity look over at Barry.

"What did you say your name was again?" Felicity asks him.
