Chapter Five

The seven of them sat around the clean marble table. The room filled with the sound of tapping fingernails and the occasional sighs from boredom and impatience. The meeting started later than anticipated, due to Jimin and Yoongi showing up extremely late, and despite their continual apologizing the rest of BTS were still annoyed with them, anxious to hear what the new their manager had was.

Finally their manager Sejin sat down, hanging up his phone and clearing his throat. They sat up, attentive, except Yoongi and Jimin, who stayed in a daydreamy spaced out state. They payed little attention to the announcement, hearing and digesting only a few words. "Song writing," "one rapper and one singer" and "working together" stood out amongst them. They didn't come fully to attention though, until they heard their own names being called.

"Suga and Jimin," Sejin read off a notes document on his phone. The two looked up, about to ask, but he continued. "RM, Jin, V, you'll be in a trio and Jungkook and J-Hope is the final group."

Yoongi and Jimin glanced at each other, confused, but didn't say anything. They didn't want anyone to know they weren't paying attention.

Sejin wasn't done talking. "We wanted to do not solo songs like WINGS but songs written and recorded by smaller groups for the new album. Naturally, you'll have help writing the songs but we'd like lyrics written mostly by the members and not just BigHits writing team. Understood?"

The boys nodded, eager to get to work and see what they were facing. The teams went off to different practice rooms to start working, while Jimin and Yoongi walked to each other slowly.

"What are we-"

"Did you hear what he said about-"

...

"Sorry-"

"No I interrupted you, go ahead.."

After this mindless babbling they both went quiet and Jimin said "Did you hear what manager Sejin said about writing songs? I was sort of..kind of...well not really paying much attention. I think I got the main point but..."

"I didn't really hear either, but I know that we have to make a song together of some sort. Probably with a rap and a vocal chorus?"

"Sounds about right,"Jimin said, nodding. "I don't know..."

"We'll just have to figure it out together then, huh?" Yoongi said, smiling his gummy smile that lit up the room.

Jimin felt himself blush a little as he smiled back at Yoongi. He's too cute.
