Your eyes fluttered opened from the sound of your doorbell, you rolled your eyes and dug your head under your pillow to block the sound out. It stopped. You shut your eyes but the sound began again, this time it went on longer. You sighed and got up from you bed, you walked out of your room into the living room. You squinted your eyes as the automatic lights turned on.

"I'm coming!" you yelled out, causing whoever it was to finally release the button. You unlocked and opened the door to reveal a certain someone...or something at your door. You let out a quiet gasp before slamming the door back shut;not giving him a chance to say anything. You looked back down at yourself, in your mind you looked a mess when you first woke up and you'd rather no one in your everyday life know that about you. Especially, someone you worked with.

"Detective,(Y/L/N). It's me, Connor." you heard his voice from the other side of the door

"I-I know," you yelled back, "Um...just come in!" you said as you rushed to your bathroom to get yourself decent

Connor entered your house, shutting the door behind him, "Sorry for coming here so late. I tried to call, but you wouldn't answer." he looked around your house

"I was sleeping." you called out as you turned on the water to wash your face

"Oh." he quietly whispered to himself

"What are you doing here? How late is it?"

"It's 3:46 am. I'm here because we received a report of a homicide that may have occurred days ago. The body was found half an hour ago and the possible suspect is an android that was seen in the area the day the crime may have taken place."

You brushed your hair and left the bathroom once you looked decent enough, even though you were still in your pajama shirt and shorts...you didn't think Connor would mind. You weren't even sure if he could feel any kind of way about it, "Alright, you can take a seat if you'd like. I need to get dressed." you looked at him as he stared at your objects. He seemed deep in thought, not even listening. You assume he's scanning things so you shrug it off and walk into your room to quickly change. You slip into something casual but good enough to go to work in. You leave your room to see Connor holding one of your framed pictures. His LED blinks for a moment as you approach,

"Are you scanning my things?" you ask as you fix your shirt

"Sorry, I can stop if it upsets you."

"No. It's fine," you gently smile, "Why are you scanning my stuff though?"

"To figure out more things about you so that I may adapt to your personality better to ensure that we'll be good partners," he points at the dog in the picture, "I like dogs."

You quietly chuckle at the comment it was awkward but charming in a way, "Yeah?"

he nods, " Lieutenant and I have a dog, he's a Saint Bernard; he's called Sumo."

"You live with Lieutenant Anderson?" you look up at him, raising an eyebrow

"Yes," he looks at you and the girl in the picture, "Who is she to you?"

"That's my sister." you smile

"I scanned the picture and ran you both through my system. However, it doesn't show your relation." He looks puzzled by why that may be

"Well...by law we're just friends but--" you shrug "We grew up together in the same orphanage so she's my sister, we've been through a lot so she's family."

He nods in understanding, he opens his mouth to speak but your conversation is interrupted. You jump at the sound of a car horn.

"Sounds like Lieutenant has grown impatient, we should go." he suggests as he sets down the photo and heads toward the door, you follow behind;closing and locking the door behind you.

The three of you left the car and went past the holographic police tape to access the abandoned building,  you listen to the briefing;your attention is drawn to Connor, he's already beginning to investigate the crime scene.
