Hindered Secrets

Chapter 16

Had it all been just a dream, another bad nightmare. She had so many in the past but this one had seemed so real. She reached for her head as it throbbed of pain. She attempted to open her eyes but they were so swollen that she could barely open them. She tried to sit up, banging her head on something sharp. Then she realized she was moving, she was in the back of a car. She went numb all over and realized that it was very real. He found her and here she was being taken away again. But she did not think about herself in this moment for all she could think about was her children. Where were they? What did he do to them? She started to bang on the trunk, screaming to the top of her lungs, "Get me out of here. Damn you Keith, Damn you." She started to panic.

He could hear her screams but ignored her by turning the radio up even louder, the speakers were blaring in her ears. Suddenly the car came to a halt and the music switched off. Silent. The car door opened and shut and she could hear the keys rattle and the gravel kick up with each step he took closer to the back of the car. The door opened and the light from the sun stone-blinded her for a few seconds. As he reached in for her she started to swing at him, slapping him with full force. "You lunatic, what have you done with my children? Where are they?" she pleaded.

"I would stop that if I was you," he said cautiously.

"Go to HELL!" she screamed back in his face. "I want to know where are they?"

"Who?"

"You know damn well who, where are my children?"

He shook his index finger in front of her; "Don't you mean our children?"

She reached over to hit him again. "Go to hell, they don't want you. They know what you are?"

"Which is?"

"A monster, the devil, they don't want anything to do with you."

He stood right up into her face. "We'll see about that." When he went to pick her up she fought him back. He backhanded her again and when she fell to the ground he reached down to grab her by the head of her hair. "Fine, we can go in like this." He dragged her along in the dirt.

She thought about the past. This cabin. She remembered life was a living hell inside of there as she looked at the steps to the front door. She had a feeling that if he got her in there she would be trapped there forever. She managed to get up and knocked him over into a mud puddle. He let go and as she started to stand he grabbed her ankle and she fell hard into the ground, tasting the dirt in her mouth.

"You fuck'n bitch, where do you think your going?" He stood back up while holding on to her, kicking her into her side. "You're such a pain in the ass, you know that?" he pulled her by her ankle, up the steps and into the old cabin. Her body hit each step causing a bruise, several bruises. Dragging her to the bedroom where she had spent over a decade in. The bed was still in the same place and the chain was still attached to the bed pole. He picked it up and walked back over to her snapping the clamp around her ankle.

She tried to push him away. "Please don't do this."

All he did was laugh mischievously. "But your mine and you will always be mine."

Hatred built up inside of her and she finally stood so close to him. She spit in his face, "Just do it already."

"Do what?" He wiped the spit from his cheek.

"Give me the royal beating. Come on show me what you got. You can hit me over and over and over but I will get back up and I will not give in to your game. I hate you. I hated you the moment you brought me here. I will never love you," she raised her voice, "EVER."

The blow came right across the face but she got back up, "You're such a bitch." And he shoved her so hard that she toppled over onto the bed, banging her head against the wall. He ripped her gown off. He hurriedly pulled his pants down and jumped on top of her. "It's been so long, Addie." He tried to kiss her but she turned into the bed. "Is that how it's going to be?" He shoved himself deep inside of her. "Don't forget you're still my wife; I own you."
