Thank you for all the positive comments.

Barry made his way to his room as soon as he got home he knew he owned his parents an explanation but right now he just needed time to hate himself.

Caitlin didn't deserve this. She didn't deserve any of this she was good and kind and... he never should've ran away.

He decided not think to much about what would've happened if he hadn't ran away because he'd probably torture himself with those thoughts.

He hated what her parents were doing to her, hee dad was dying and stright after his death they were just going to drop her in the middle of an arranged marriage without giving her time to grieve, it wasn't fair even if it was him she was marrying and even if she did know him.

Who was he kidding? She probably wasn't going to marry him now anyway, he knew her which mention he kew she was going to fight her parents on this because once she set her mind to something she achieved it.

She was going to push and push against this issue and... he wasn't going to push back.

He wished he could just go back to the time before they actually got to know each other, back to the time when she'd just buy him coffee and talk his ear of about her fake snobby friends and subjects she was passionate about.

If he had to pin point what trigger of of this it was probably the day he made his decision.

Flashback about 5 months ago

He wasn't sure how long he'd been walking, all he knew if that his feet were probably bleeding thanks to his broken shoes and that this was one of those times when he desperately considered calling his parents.

The rain came out of nowhere and it wasn't just light rain it was full on heavy, Lound rain it was the sort of rain that not even animals went out in, it was the sort of rain that made you go 'great God's flooding the earth again'

He sped up and since it had gotten dark about 45 minutes ago and there weren't many street lights in sight he couldn't see and the cod rain pouring down his face and into his eyes was doing him no favours.

Yet, he knew this was a bad part of town.

There were places everywhere that were boarded up and some of them looked fire danger where as others looked like they had been broken into despite being abandoned.

Graphite was everywhere and the air hung thick with the smell of smoke and weed and something else that he just couldn't place.

He didn't know where he was. He didn't know if he was safe. He didn't know what to do.

He knew one thing though, he shouldn't be here.

He saw a few other homeless men huddle new under a abandoned shop shelter there was three of them all sat in a circle and he was pretty sure they were snorting something, it was hard to tell.

Across the street was a large group of men all wearing dark clothing, most of them were smoking and laughing to loudly.

He decided to settle down away from it all underneath the shelter of a old hair dressers.

There was writing on the wall and the white paint was chipping and he didn't even want to think about what he other stains were.

He could mind it all just for one night.

Barry fingers trembled  from the cold as he grabbed the zipper of his bag and pulled it down to take his sleeping bag out.

He early wrapped it around himself and he realised earlier on this wouldn't protect him from the cold.

He wasn't going to get any sleep tonight.

He took the hand warmee caitlin had gotten him out of the front pocket of his bag he'd been saving it for an emergency and right now was definitely an emergency.

He shook it and waited or it to warm up, the packet said it would last upto 10 hours.

Some how he'd manged to get through the night without anything bad happening to him and he pall bed to leave as soon as there was a hint of light.

It was about 4:30am when the happened.

A group of men approached him, he was 80% sure they were either- drunk, high or hungover... maybe a bit of all three.

He wasn't really sure what happened next they yelled something at him then snatched his things from him after he tired To get up and leave and they pushed him to the ground and then the kicking came.

He never thought it would stop. A few of them started stomping on his leg and his arm.

Barry couldn't be sure if he screamed or cried but he did beg for them to stop.

He remembered just wanting to pass out from the pain and silently begging to be knocked unconscious.

But eventually they stoped and they walked away but not before spitting on his and laughing.

It took him a while to get back up on his feet and he was pretty sure his leg was broken.

He had no where to go.

The hospital would find out who he was some how and they'd call his parents and he'd be brought back home.

His parents... home.

He wanted so much to go home, he was pretty sure if he went to the police and asked them to call his family they would and all this would be over, the hiding would be over and he'd be safe...but he wouldn't be free.

It hit him suddenly.

Smiley face.

The adress he'd given her wasn't that far away from here and she always met up with him early in the morning and by the time he reched the location she'd be there...hopefully.

A walk that should've taken 30 minuets took almost 2 hours.

A few people stared at his bloodied and bruised form as he went and he was pretty sure some People had called the police.

Some one asked if he was okay.

While other people avoid him and walked on the other side of the street.

But when he did arrive he saw her.

Smiley face.

She was about to walk away but he mustered up all of his strength and then...

Well he wasn't sure because he woke up in the hospital.

There was a knock on the door but he ignore it.

His mother walked in anyway.

"I'm happy your home Barry...I don't know how you and caitlin came across each other but I'd like to hear the story, when your ready"

He hated it when his mum did this, she'd play the role of the perfect caring mother until she got him to open up to her and then she'd judge him.

"I don't want to talk about it"

Nora sighed "take your time" she turned to leave.

"Mum, I...ergh...Caitlin, I'd do anything for her and that's why I can't marry her... I want her to be happy she deserves to be happy and she won be happy with me...not anymore, I lied and she's... she won't forgive me"

Nora's expression was unreadable "I'll see what I can do but I can see that you love her... I don't know caitlin but I'm pretty sure she'll forgive you... women do forgive easily dispite what everyone thinks"

"your right... you don't know her"
