3 years later
"No, no, no, no your wrong... I can't be I'm not..." she swolled "pregnant"
"The test results came back positive Mrs. Allen"
She nodded absentmindly, what were she and Barry going to do with a baby? They both had pretty shitty parents who tried to force them into a loveless marrige, what kind of example did they have to go off?
"Uh...okay" she swollled and wasn't really listening as the doctor rambled on about booking an appointment with a midwife and getting the flu shot.
She drove home on auto pilot and found a note from Barry saying there was a problem at work and he'd had to go back to the office and that she shouldn't wait up.
She screwed it up angrily and threw it in to the bin, she missed the bin and broke down in tears.
How dare he not be here? The world was shifting on its axis and her entier life had just been changed and her husband was working.
She gripped the counter and let out a cry of frustration and started full on sobbing. This wasn't fair, she knew it wasn't the tiny clump of cells fault but still it wasn't fair she wasn't ready to be a mother and she didn't want to make a person for the next 32 weeks.
She picked up her phone with trembling hands, she didn't care if Barry was busy that could wait, this couldn't.
The phone rang four times before he finally picked up "Barry I-"
"Mrs. Allen? Sorry this is Zoe your husbands-"
"I know your his secretary can you put my husband on, now" she wasn't asking, why was this bitch anwsering Barry's personal phone anyway?!
"I'm sorry Mrs. Allen but he's in a very important conference call with the heads of our offices in Japan"
"I don't care" she said faltly "this is important I need to talk to my husband"
"Thats not possible at present, Mrs. Allen" Zoe snapped
"Fine. When will he be available?" She asked though gritted teeth.
"It's hard to say, he told me he doesn't want to be disturbed unless the buildings on fire and it's close to this floor, but I estimate a few hours... can I take a message?" She asked.
God she hated Zoe she was such a husband stealing snake.
"Just tell him that his wife called" Caitlin said as calmly as she could before hanging up.
Caitlin over to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of Bailies and was about to pour it when she remebered.
"Right" she grumbled practically throwing it back into the fridge she looked down at her still flat belly "I can't drink alcohol"
When Barry got home he looked exshausted and she felt alittle bit of sympathy for him before she remebered that she was mad at him.
"Hey, I told you not to wait up"
"Yes" she said dryly "I got your note"
He frowned slightly sensing her mood and ran a hand down his face "Cait, it's been a night, can we just go to bed"
"Oh you'd like that wouldn't you?" She snapped "just another way to ignore me"
"Another way to- honey what are you talking about?" He asked tiredly and placed a hand on her arm.
"I called your office, I needed you and it was important but your secretary wouldn't let me speak to you and she practically admited that you told her to not pass on my calls"
