Jack's POV

I watch Toff dancing whilst the music blares loudly. We've had a great night so far and I'm enjoying Toff's company as always.
Spending my time with her a lot more recently is like a breath of fresh air. Her bubbly, sweet personality never fails to entertain, and her smile is simply one in a million.

But we're just friends.

Floating around the midst of the internet, a small ship name called #JOFF. I try not to take it too seriously, it's just a joke. Well that's how I see it anyways.

"I'm getting tired, maybe we should go?" Toff turns to me, smiling.

"Yeah, sure" I nod, swigging back the last of my drink.

We head out the club and decide to call a taxi. Mine and Conor's flat isn't too far away so it shouldn't be much trouble.

"I've had such a good night!" Toff squeals once the taxi starts moving.

"Yeah, those moves of yours" I wink and she giggles. The sound makes my throat tingle, and I smile widely.

"We should do this more often, like, maybe invite some others too?" She suggests.

"Yeah, maybe"

"Drama is definitely my favourite club, would you say so too?" She continues to talk. That's one of the things I love about her, how the conversation always flows constantly and we're never left in silence.

We chat for the rest of the taxi journey, until we finally pull up outside the block of flats. I invite Toff inside for a bit, just to relax and maybe catch up on Love Island. I know she loves that show, so why not?

"Make yourself at home" I chuckle as she dives onto the large sofa. She kicks her heels off and turns on the TV.

"You recorded it, right?!" She asks, scanning the screen for her favourite show.

"Yesss" I roll my eyes.

"Oh, good"

I laugh and carry two glasses of water to the coffee table, putting them down before sitting beside her. She automatically rests her head on my shoulder and I grin to myself. Our friendship is so comforting.

"Oooh, Adam is hot" She says.

"Not as hot as me" I joke. She chuckles and looks up into my eyes.

"No, you're right with that one" She teases. Her eyes glow brightly up into mine and for a moment my eyes flick down to her soft lips. Maybe I should just-

"Seriously guys?" Someone moans from the doorway. I panic and quickly move away from Toff.

"I wasn't going to kis-"

"Your watching Love Island" Conor sighs before grabbing himself a glass of water from the tap. I feel my cheeks start to turn red. I thought he was going to question me...

"It's a great show!" Toff shouts, resting her head back onto my shoulder.

"Yeah right" Conor laughs. "Anyway, I'm going to bed"

"Alright" I mumble.

"Goodnight, C-dawg!"

...

Conor's POV

I wake up rather late the next morning. It was about 1am when I woke up to see Jack and Toff watching that shitty TV show.

I've come to realise how close them two have been getting. I know for a fact they're not actually together, since Jack still does his regular thing, messing around with other girls. I just hope he doesn't hurt Toff. She's a great girl and I've truly found a great friendship in her.

I pull on a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie before wondering into the hallway. It's quiet so Jack must be asleep still.

I smirk to myself and approach his bedroom door. It'll be fun to wake him up. I'm such a great older brother.

I swing open the door, about to scream "Popsie!", or maybe "But father!".

But I freeze once I spot Toff laid asleep next to him.

She stayed over?! Did things get... frisky? This is everything I dreaded would happen!

"Jack" I hiss, hoping to wake him. He doesn't move and I quickly give up, leaving the room again. "Fuck" I say to myself once I close the door.

I take a seat on the sofa, resting my chin in my hand for a while. I can't believe Jack took advantage of her after last night. She definitely wasn't sober and I fucking knew Love Island was a bad thing to watch...

"Oh, you're up" Jack yawns, leaving his bedroom. I quickly stand up and look at him sternly. "What?" He frowns.

"You fucking know what!" I snap.

"What?!" He repeats.

"You slept with Toff!" I whisper, pointing to the bedroom. His cheeks quickly turn red.

"I didn't!" He objects. "She just fell asleep!"

"Don't give me that bullshit" I sigh. "She trusted you Jack"

"Fuck me, nothing happened!" He shouts. I roll my eyes and walk past him, slightly pushing his shoulder.

"You've fucked up Jack, she was so good to you" I mumble. He moans loudly and follows me around like a puppy.

"I didn't sleep with her Conor" He repeats. "I fucking swear!"

"Why is she in your bed then?!"

"She fell asleep!"

"What? In your arms?!" I snap.

"Why don't you fucking believe me?" He sighs. I fold my arms across my chest and stare at him with a surly expression.

"Because you're a fucking player" I scoff. His quickly face drops.

"What did you say?" He asks, walking towards me.

"You heard me Jack, and we all know it's true!"

"You're a dickhead!" He shouts. I notice his hand curls into a tight ball and his arm suddenly raises. He swings his fist towards my face and I quickly dodge it.

I look at him in shock before feeling a rage of anger wash over me. "Fucking twat" I mumble before shoving him at full force. His body flies backwards and he falls hard, smashing his head on the coffee table.

It goes in slow motion, but there's nothing I can do. His body slumps down and my eyes widen at what I just did. He's knocked out cold.

"Jack!" I shout, running to his side. He doesn't move and I try to wake him up by shaking his almost lifeless body. "Jack!" I repeat.

"C-Conor?" A shocked voice says. I quickly look up to see Toff, her face going pale at the sight.

"Toff!" I shout. "Help! I think he's dead!"

She rushes over and kneels down the other side of him, moving a pillow beneath his head and checking to hear his breathing. She seems experienced.

"What happened?" She panics.

"We got into a fight, I-I pushed him and he fell" I manage to say.

"A fight?" She sighs. "Over what?!"

"You" I mutter. She looks across at me in shock and I decide to explain. "I thought... he'd done stuff with you last night. And I didn't want him to take advantage of you" I sigh.

"Conor, nothing happened" She sighs too. "I just fell asleep"

"I know that now" I say slowly.

"Well... he's not dead" She changed the subject and I look down at my little brother. "But we should maybe call an ambulance"

"O-Okay"
