Natural Disaster

My tears dropped like rain,
as I knew what you were about to say.
When I registered your words
that's when the tsunami came.

With that came the winds
of uncertainty to screw with my head.
I got caught in a hurricane,
because I didn't want to believe your cold words.

The tornado became me,
and tore the place on it's head.
Like you put me on mine,
You were my natural disaster.

The sea that filled your eyes
now cold and deep, I'm drowning.
The soft nostalgia in your voice
now turned harsh and filled with malice.

My natural disaster,
used to have me awestruck at the views.
But you pushed me over the edge,
I can't find my way back up.

The one that used to shower me
with kisses and delights,
now downpours on me
with harsh thunder.

You were a tropical storm
that I would run into again.
If only my natural disaster
would calm down a bit.

Let the sun shine through,
call out my name gently in the breeze.
But instead, you struck me with lightning,
and now I'm here shocked.

Shocked at my beautiful valley
that was once filled with flowers.
Now there's a gate so I can't get in.
I can only stand back and watch.
