Chapter 27 - Flashback > The Long Lost Treasures

Someone's 

*knock knock*

"Come in." sambit ng isang baritono at maotoridad na boses sa taong kumatok sa kanyang pintuan.

"Father, the man you hired few days ago is here."

"Let him in."

"Yes, Father."

Lumabas ang taong kausap ng 'Father' upang tawagin ang nasabing lalaki na ni-hire niya kaylan lang. Makalipas ang ilang oras, pumasok ang isang lalaking naka pang-Hawaiian attire, may subo-subong tubacco at naka-shades pa, kasama ang taong kausap kanina ng 'Father'.

"Excuse me." Tapos ay lumabas ang lalaki. "Have a sit." Utos ng 'Father' sa bagong dating na lalaki. Yumuko muna ito sa 'Father' bilang pag galang at umupo sa upuan sa harap ng mesa.

"Will you, stop smoking." anito. Hindi ito patanong kundi isang statement. "My bad, Father." tumayo ito at muling yumuko bago tumalikod at itinapon sa labas ang tubaccong subo niya kanina. Isinabit niya muna ang shades niya sa kanyang floral polo at muling kumatok sa pinto at pumasok.

"Euangelion"

"Father?"

"So, I believe the you are the good news."

"Yes, Father. I am the good news."

(Trivia: Euangelion is a geek word. 'Eu' stands for good and 'Angelion' stands for news.) 

"So, how was it?"

"Well, she is currently working on it. She told me that she's trying to find him."

"That's all you've got? Nothing more?"

"Ahm. No, Father. She still can't believe that he is still alive that's why she can't work properly. And, ahh. The real good news is .... while she's trying to find for him, she found out something about 'our' rival clan."

"Really? What is it? Tell me."

Flash back

"Welcome back, Yo--"

"Elis."

Muling humarap ang dalaga sa likod niya. Nakita niya ang isang lalaking naka kulay pink na floral polo at brown slocks. Naka black leader shoes at may nakasabit pa sa leeg nito na floral necklace at nakasuot din siya ng dark brown cap at nakasuot ng shades. Maputi ito at mahahalatang may lahing amerikano. Kahit pa ang damit nito ay ..... 'Rainy season pero naka summer attire? Weird guy.'

"Tsk."

'That Euangelion guy'. Hindi naman siya mukhang good news. Makita ko palang siya pakiramdam ko laging may bad news akong matutuklasan. Only with the way he looks? Tsk.'

"Hey! Is that the way you treat your visitors?"

"What do you care?"

"Nothing changed e? Oh well. I'm Euangelion-- I know." sabat nito sa pag sasalita ng lalaki.

"Well, so yeah, i am the good news -- But you don't look like."

"Ugh. Will you stop talking?"

"Tss."

"So, as I was saying -- go straight to the point bastard."

"Ughh! You--! Tsk. I'm here to remind you about your mission with our Father. It was almost a month ago when he ask you to find 'him'."

"I'm currently working on it."

"Any updates?"

"Come in."

Pumasok ang dalawa sa loob ng bahay ni Elis. Umupo si Elis, ganon din naman si Euangelion kahit pa wala itong pahintulot. Dumating naman ang juice at kaunting makakain para sa dalawa.

"So???"

"I found something with 'The Quests'." Nakuha naman nito ang atensyon ng lalaki.

"Really? Mind sharing?"

"I saw a map in a book."

"And?"

"It is the long lost map of the missing treasure in China and in South-East coast of Nova Scotia"

"R-really?"

"Yes. The Peking Man Fossil of China and the Oak Island Money pit."

"Oluwa Mio!" (Oh my god!)

"Psh."

"What more?"

"And the map is in my secret place."

"Really? Can you show it to me?"

"Nope."

"Why?"

"It's a secret."

"Woah, wait. Are those long lost treasures are the real ones or the replicas?"

"Based on my re-search, these are the real ones."

"When are you going to get them?"

"I won't."

"B-but! You can sell it! It may cost more than my life!"

"Don't care."

"But -- go home. You're waisting my time." 

*Clap clap clap*

"You really are the good news, Euangelion!"

"Yes, yes. Thank you!"

"It would be easy for me to get the map to her. I have my alas!"

"He-he. Hehehe-he-hehe." tanging nasambit na lamang ng lalaki. God. Doesn't he going to share his plan to me? Or at least give me my salary? 

"Oh well, Mr. Good News. Go to my secretary and get your money. I'll call you if ever I'll need you again." sambit ng 'Father'. Nag bow ang lalaki at lumabas ng kwarto at dumeretso na sa sekretarya niya.

Pumunta si Elis sa kanyang secret room para muling titigan ang mmga kristal na nakuha niya sa kagubatan noon at ang mapa ng mga nawawalang kayamanan.

"Am I that really lucky to have you?"

Lumipat naman siya sa kabilang parte ng secret room upang titigan ang natitirang ala-ala niya. Ang nag iisang kayamanan niya. 

"Mom."
