"I'm not hungry anymore. I'm going," I faked gaged at them and left.
I walked home.
"Thea! Wait up!" Dean's voice yelled.
"Dean. I'm not supposed talk to you," I sighed.
"I know. I know. I heard them talking. But I broke up with Rory. Not you. I don't get why we can't still be friends," he spoke.
"Me either, but Rory and Lane are my best friends. I have to be there for them," I spoke.
"Ok I get it. I'll see you around Thea," Dean smiled.
I walked home.
"Mom," I yelled opening the door.
"Hey hunny you hungr-" she began.
I cried.
"Thea. Baby, what's wrong!" She exclaimed.
"I told Dean I couldn't be friends with him anymore," I cried.
She hugged me.
"Oh baby. I made a berry tart do you want some. It will make you feel better," my moms tender voice told me.
"Ya. Ok," I nodded.
I sat at the table and bite into the tart.
I ate the tart and got lost in my thoughts.
"Thea! Thea! Phone!" My father yelled from his room.
I walked over to the phone and answered it.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hey," Dean's familiar voice traveled through he speaker.
"Bye," I went to hang up.
"Wait!! Don't hang up please!" His voice spoke.
"Dean. This is too hard. I told you-" I began.
"I know. That you can't be friends with me because I broke up with Rory. But like you said I only did that because I want her to be happy. And I get it. You can't be friends with me in public," Dean began.
"Public What does that mean?" I asked.
"Thea did you get the phone?" My dad yelled.
"Ya dad!" I yelled.
"Thea?" He yelled
"Jackson! She got the phone she's on it right now!" My mom yelled.
"Public. That doesn't mean we can't be secret friends. Thea your a good friend and I'm not going to let you go that easy. Your almost like a sister," Dean spoke.

"I don't know..." I began.
"Come on. Tell you what I have a baseball game this Saturday. Just stop by with you?" He asked.
"... I'll try," I spoke.
"Ok," he spoke.
