Act 11: Call It What You Want

3 days later..

June 16, 2018

I've been playing  with my engagement  ring during the whole flight. Today's the big dinner with our families and friends.

I have never met Jared's family. Jared's already met my parents when he asked for my hand.

We are down in Texas the big dinner is being held at Jensen's place.

"Gwen sweetheart they are going love you relax. Here i've got just the thing I know Dr. Pepper relaxes you so I bought some of those jelly belly ones at the airport. Jared said.

I take the bag from him.

" Thanks Jared. I am just not good with big events like this." I replied

We finally arrive at Jensen's place.

He's the first to greet us with his wife Danneel beside him.

"Gwen are you okay I think you should sit down you look your about to pass out Dee will you lead Gwen to the living room."  Jensen said.

Jensen's wife leads me to the living room.

" So Gwen tell me a bit about yourself." Danneel said.

"I've been editing since I was 14 born and raised in Canada. I've been watching Supernatural since I was 13. Jared and I met when I  was an audio engineer for the play he was in.  Jared insisted that  I take the place of the actress for the play after she broke her leg. I am not good in front of crowds don't even know how I managed to do it.". I replied.

Danneel smiles.

"Typical Jared always doing trying his hardest to get what he wants. He always wanted to get married it broke his heart when Genevieve turned him down. I am glad he's gotten back out there and met you.  You two are good together I can see it and Jensen is always saying that too. I've never seen him so happy.  Now all that's missing  from the equation is kids. Danneel said.

I end up blushing at her last comment.

Great I am so not good at the poker face good thing I don't play poker.

" No way your pregnant is that one of the reasons we are having this big dinner I know you two are engaged.  Congrats on that by the way." Danneel said excitedly.

"Shh Danneel can you keep it down. Jensen doesn't even know yet. Jared and I haven't even told him yet.  Don't want to spoil the big surprise at dinner.  I guess we go help set up dinner now. I replied

" No no ,you  Gwen sit we've got this handled. Danneel said.

I roll my eyes at Danneel as she skips away.

Jared, Jensen and Danneel set up the dinner. Jensen and Danneel insisted that they cook and for Jared only to  help set up.

We have all of our favourites for dinner.  Burgers, homemade fries Dr. Pepper wine for those who drink it and jugs of water for my parents.

10 mins later...

Jared's parents arrive with his siblings.

Jared leads them to the living room.

" Hi ,Gwen it's great to finally meet you. I am Sherri and this is Gerald my husband. Sherri said.

I go to shake her hand but she pulls me into hug instead.

" Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Padalecki it's good to finally meet you." I replied

" Oh dear just call us Sherri and Gerald your family after all. Jared keeps telling us about in fact he won't shut about you. It's always Gwen this and Gwen that." Sherri said.

Jared starts blushing

" Mom cut it out I don't do that. Jared replied

" Awe honey it's okay I don't mind. I always do the same with my parents. i said.

Jared sisters starts to have convo with me.

"I've never seen Jared so happy I am glad he's finally settled down. We never thought he would with what happened with Genevieve.  He really loves you we can all see it and we can see that's it's mutual." Megan said.

Jared sits down beside me and hold my hand.

"  It definitely is I love Jared with my heart. I am  lucky that fate brought Jared and I  together. I am sure Jared's told you that I have big trust issues and with those issues I'd never thought I'd settle down either." replied 

Jeff chimes in.

" We heard about your history I can't believe your friend did that to you. Who does that? " Jeff said.

Jared slips away for a second to put the gifts on the table.

My parents are next to arrive. Jared goes over to talk to them.

" Yeah I don't it still baffles me I am glad to have Claire in my life. Also Jensen , Misha and Mark are close well I consider them family. Danneel and I've hit it off.  I've made good friend our on set nurse Alyssa as well  And I am glad to be becoming part of this family as .  I replied.

" We are glad to have you part of this family as well Gwen. Gerald said.

I see Claire , Nick, Misha, Vicki Mark and Sarah arrive, 

" Okay guys dinners ready. Come on and eat before Jared and Jensen eat all the food. " Danneel said.

I take my seat next to Jared.

" Okay so you guys think Jared and I have invited you guys for an engagement dinner. There's something else as well if you guys will open the boxes in front of you." I said.

There's chorus of gasps across the table.

"We are going to be grandparents." my parents and Jared's parents say excitedly at the same time.

" You are Gwen's four months along we found just before we made the trip back to the theatre for me to propose.  We both had no idea I had the engagement plans a couple months before we found out." Jared said. 

" Congrats you guys. I can't wait to be grandmother. Congrats on the engagement as well. Gwen your father and I are so happy for you two. " mom said with tears of happiness in her eyes. 

I hand her a tissue.

" Thank you and great now you are going to make me cry." I replied.

" Okay ladies I am going to add even more to the sappiness better get your tissues out.  Here's to my future wife and mother to of my child.  I don't know how but fate brought us together. I never knew making the decision  to star in that play would be such a big game changer.  I am so lucky and thankful to have you in my life. I love you and our growing family. Here's to us and our future." Jared.

" Well here comes the waterworks. I am just as lucky that fate brought us together. I love you too and our growing family. Here's to our future too." I replied with happy tears in my eyes.

We clink our glasses than we eat dinner.

We have salted caramel cookies and white macadamia cookies for dessert.

But the time all the time things ends I am completely wiped out.

" Okay I've got to go set this angel to bed she's practically  falling asleep in her chair." Jared said.

Jared swiftly picks me and brings me to the guest room.
