I pull out what's inside the bag and pull it up in the air.
Clothes? What, do they want me to put this on?
I look back inside the bag and pull out some small black shorts. I reach my hand in and move it around.
Yes!
I grasp my hand into a piece of paper and pull it out. I bring it up into my view and find out that's it's folded.
Well okay.
I quickly unfold it expecting some sort of surprise. Like when it's Christmas and your tearing apart the wrapping paper to reveal what's inside. That same spark of joy I have then, reminisces inside of me at this very moment. Don't ask me why though, because I have no idea. It's just a piece of paper. What could possibly be inside of it that would bring me joy.
I slightly smile and begin to read the contents:
Hello and welcome Aurora Elizabeth Ailen. We have given you a long sleeve shirt and another piece of attire to put on top of it as well as some pants to wear for the time being. Don't worry, your normal clothes will be given to you as you leave, but for now we would like you to change. Doctor Rohsea will be in you room at 11:50. You can check the clock for when that will be.
Sincerely, General S. Geller"Well okay" I quickly turn my head around the room searching for a clock. My eyes stop on the wall behind me and read the time on the digital clock.
11:45
My eyes widen as I rip off my clothes and quickly get changed into the outfit they'd given my earlier. I step up to a mirror in the corner and dust it off. It looks like I'm working in some kind of...hospital.
My attention is turned to the door as it slowly opens and reveals a woman. Probably a little older than my parents and dressed similar to the man from earlier.
"Hello. I see from the open letter you know who I am." She says with a big smile as she reaches out to shake my hand. I give it a small shake and sit on the bed. "So I am here today to simply run a few tests in you. After that I'm going to use the machine in the corner to scan you and you'll be in your way. Okay?"
I silently nod my head and we begin.
