"It's beautiful." Maddox softly says.
I smile and respond with yeah. I snap out of it and start to think of a plan. We dint know when or if people are gonna come and try to find us. Our best bet is to get as far away as possible in the quickest amount of time.
"Reddy?" I ask. He silently nods and we walk deeper into the forest.
After what seems to be hours, I start to feel woozy. My head hurts and the whole left side of my torso is numb. I haven't checked it, but I can feel my shirt socked with blood sticking to my body. Worst of all, Maddox's shirt also has blood on it. My blood. Kind of embarrassingly you think about it.
"You hear that?" He quickly says.
"Hear what?" I say with a slight bit of shortness in my breath.
He stops and puts his hand up shushing me. "Water."
My eyebrows lift up and we continue to walk.
We walk down a steep hill, past some large trees, across a ditch, and finally reach the water. We walk up to it and look closely. It has a few Minnie waterfalls and continues down a small hill. More of a river than a stream though, kind of big if you ask me.
"Are you okay." Maddox asks looking down at me.
I take a deep breath and answer, "Honestly no." I respond.
"Okay. I think we're far enough, let sleep here tonight." He says. I nod and drop.
Standing was too painful and I knew that getting up would be worse. I guess if just sleep here.
"Can you get up?" I respond with a mumble.
"Come here." My vision slightly starts blur. I can see myself being lifted up, but after that nothing. It just goes black.
