It's been a week now and we haven't made much progress in figuring out why we were taken in the first place. After that day of fishing with Maddox and catch a ton of fish, we were designated the groups fishers but we haven't been spending a lot of time together.

Noah and Jace on the other hand hate each others guts. Jace usually spends his time helping with the fishing while Maddox goes off on his own. Noah mostly goes out looking for other sources of food and East looks along the beach for washed up resources. As much as I hate the fact that we humans produce a lot of trash, it's been pretty helpful this past week.

So far, East has managed to find a wind breaker, packaged nuts, empty water bottles, a lot more plastic bags, and a backpack. The pack pack was mostly torn to shreds, but somehow she was able to fix it.

Since the day I left the facility, things haven't felt right. I feel like ever since I left that place, things have felt different. I don't know, maybe this is what freedom feels like.

"Do you want to go on a walk?" Noah walks up to me.

It's sunset right now and usually at this time of day I like to sit on top of the sand dunes and watch the sunset. Enjoy it for once.

"Um...sure why not." I say getting up and dusting off my clothes.

I walk down the dune and down to the waters edge and just stand there. The more freedom I realize I have, gets me more mad. Those fucking people took me away from my life. I didn't have a chance to love, live, or do anything I've ever wanted to do. Hell, I don't even have an education.

"You alright?" Noah says a few feet away from me.

I snap out of my thoughts and silently nod to him trying to speed up.

"So, I've been thinking. What are we going to do?"

"What?" I question.

"You know, it's been a week and we still don't have a plan. What are we going to do, we can't live like this forever. We've got friends, family's, and lives to get back to."

I stay silent after he says this. Friends, family's, and lives. Do I even have that?

"What did I say something wrong?" He asks.

"No, you didn't. It's just I don't know what I'm going to do, I've been gone for so long I don't know have anything to get back to."

"What are you talking about." Noah says stoping and sitting down on a large price of driftwood.

I sit down next to him and begin to draw patterns in the sand with a stick. "I was...taken...so long ago. I don't have anything to get back to." I say forcing the words out.

"Come on, that's not true." He says putting his hand on my shoulder.

I shrug it off and continue. "I've made up my mind, you can all go back to your lives, but I've got nothing left. I'm staying. At least until I figure out what to do next." I say pushing the stick into the sand and standing up. I dust the sand off my clothes once more and begin to head back to camp.

Noah grabs my arm and pulls me towards him. "No it's not safe. I can't let you do that."

I push my arm out from his grasp and continue to walk back to camp. "I'm going to do what I want and you aren't going to get in the way. Okay?"

He catches up to me and stays silent for a while. "Okay, whatever you want."

Oof this was bad. I've got some serious writers block on this. Idk what I'm going to do next. Please help!
